This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Marvel's December Solicitations are out
The 'Eight Deaths' arc for this month will be handled by Justina Ireland instead of Joe Kelly, Peter will Go up against the time god Cyrius and will use up some deaths trying to fix his future by altering the past
Yeah, after the Life Foundation 5 was stated to be Venom's final children for realsies, then Sleeper came along. So it wouldn't be the first time Venom spawned more despite saying he had no more.

Depends on the event Peter tries fixing, he doesn't remember the deal, far as he's concerned the events from OMIT where he's hit by the brick is what he remembers. If he steps back into the past to the day of his wedding, it should determine once and for if "One Moment In Time" was a timeline or a memory alteration.
After the close of Spencer's run, that's been difficult to gauge. Mephisto clearly remembers as he told Strange all about his visions of Mayday ultimately defeating him so he had to intervene in their lives, and it was implied in "Last Remains" Mary Jane does actually retain knowledge of the deal but doesn't tell Peter, and Marvel ignore those details like everything else that could reconcile the two.

Joe Kelly switches back to ASM and Peter must watch everyone he loves die at the hands of the embodiment of Death, CYRA
And Black Cat guest-stars in (and dates one of) the Avengers

Just caught up to the puzzle man issue of Spider Boy
You gotta feel bad for Bailey. On a day that should have been a triumph, he instead has his hopes crushed again and again. Leaving him to just sadly wonder what he did to deserve any of this.
In an issue that’s otherwise goofus man forces child to do common puzzles
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhat do you guys think of Seth’s sister Rachel Mc Farlane voicing or playing Mary Jane her voice for Hayley Smith from American Dad! would suit MJ pretty well In my opinion.
The Ultimate Incarnation of EvilWell.
I'm at my local comic book expo.
And while I didn't plan to do so. I'm currently sitting in at a panel waiting for Dan Slott to appear.
Since he wasn't part of my originally viewing plan, I have no clue what I'm going to ask him.
Maybe just something simple, like if you had a chance to do another Superior Villain, who it be?
I mean, why not right?
One Strip! One Strip!Hmm.
I'll give it a try. This is my first time meeting him, and I barely read his era and only heard about it, so I'd hate to overstep.
One Strip! One Strip! You could tweak the question to ask what he sees the rivalry as doing for their characters. More open ended
Also, have fun

Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah. That's what I'm leaning towards as well.
Thanks.
Edit: Also, did he invent that rivalry? Did he write it?
I guess he kinda did since the Green Goblin was the final boss of Otto's original Superior run, and Otto lost hard.
I'm not really sure though.

One Strip! One Strip!Yeah Bocaj's question being more open ended works better but Slott was the one who had Otto and Norman really interact in the comics for the first time in a substantial manner, and it was them basically competing in Superior for who really is Spider-Man's greatest foe.
Prior to this, their interactions were in just one story in Marvel Knights where Otto wasn't in the right state of mind, and they didn't talk much.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I don't think I phrased it well. I mostly got him admitting he believe Norman sweeps Otto, because Otto would be off licking his wounds, making up excuses for why he lost (which seems consistent with how things go when they face off).
I do admit, Norman does have the brute strength advantage, and has probably hit Peter more where it hurts up until Otto pulled the Superior Stunt.
Sorry I couldn't get a good a good answer Red.
I did learn that he really wanted to write Norman, but during that era, the former was in Dark Avengers and Thunderbolts and was off limits (alongside Venom and Carnage) unless he got loaned out.
So Go Down Swinging was him asking to finally get to go whole hog on writing stories with the Green Goblin and Carnage. He also did so much with Otto because he couldn't use those other guys. Otto was the best toy he had left in the box.
One Strip! One Strip! He did write Norman quite well in Superior, and I loved his interactions with Otto and Peter there.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"![]()
Edit: He seems to just want to write really fun stories mostly. It's been interesting.
He gave us a story of something he had planned for his Silver Surfer comic where the former and Dawn Granger would get sucked into separate worm holes to different dimensions.
Each would end up in a world with a comic shop, where what the other was doing was in a comic. And since both were reading comics about that, it would show up in the books. It would let them communicate with each other.
That's some Inception level shit. I love it.

One Strip! One Strip! You know it's kinda sad that Otto only was as used as he was in the Slott era is because Norman was off-limits and fighting the Avengers at the time.
But Slott seemed to have genuinely grown fond of writing him.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"The title of Wells' final arc appears to be "Dead Wrong"
As in that that's the real title, not that there's anything "Dead Wrong" about the title itself.
There was "Dead Language" last year which was what explained Paul and the Peter/MJ break up, could...this be something related to that? It doesn't look likely with how the Tombstone story is going, it being more 'grounded'...but maybe the final double-length issue of Wells' run is about this, and that'll be doubtlessly contained in the trade
Ultimate Spider-Man#9
Otto creates an override for Harry's suit so Tony can't access it, he attempts to equip Peter with an alternative Iron Spider outfit for Peter to use but he rejects it. Harry and Peter finally come to a major disagreement as Harry wants to kill and Peter refuses

"It’s actually Sliver, with an L." OK, that seems like an OK name. Nothing edgy about it, pretty reasonable.
So, Sliver and Sleeper mean there are at least a couple symbiotes with non-edgy names. So there's the potential to allow for more.
