This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I always assumed the Carnage symbiote being so young and bonding to Kassidy is what allowed Kassidy to overwhelm it hence "I AM CARNAGE."
Granted, we do see the symbiote assert herself at times.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Spider-Man: Venom War#2 is a fun read, and probably the best 616 Peter and MJ have been together in years, it helps the writers (Hivemind) are marriage fans and don't like Paul, who's reduced to a total worrywart getting continually criticised by the symbiote (and even MJ when she asks why some of her lamer powers are even an option), there's strong continuity beats that sages directly into the main event of Ewing's book
Just get rid of him. Fuck.
Like, the reason I don't hate Paul is because everyone does. He exists just to be in the way, and never had a chance to be a character that was worth anything.
The reveal that he's donating money to the people who died in his alternate future might have helped if they hadn't sat on it for so long. This is something that needed to be revealed as soon as possible.
Just...stop Marvel. Get him out of the way. Stop trying to make him a thing. Right now, him being dead or just disappeared would probably be the best thing for him.
One Strip! One Strip!Spectacular Spider-Man #7 - The first story arc is finished. K.N.A.I.V.E. dies as quickly as he is introduced, Jackal confesses to his crimes and is arrested (RIP Raymond) and all the Arcadium victims are rescued, albeit likely traumatized by the whole experience.
Also Josh Keaton did another dub for issue #6, with Tricia Helfer and Kevin Michael Richardson returning as Black Cat and Tombstone.
A surprise launch today - the Venom: Original Sin Infinity Comic. Steve Orlando writing, Scott Koblish and Yen Nitro on art and colour.
Going back to the days before Venom, when Spider-Man was in the black suit and Eddie Brock made a deal with with Jack O'Lantern for photos...
And Venom/Eddie reaches back through time to rewrite the past...
And we get a prequel series
for the animated Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Five issues, Christos Gage and Eric Gapstur, launches in December.

Some comics have made the assertion that a symbiote's first host leaves the biggest impression. So it's possible that if Carnage had bonded to someone that isn't a serial killer then it would be less kill-happy.
