This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Peter's reputation should be ruined a thousand times over, besides that scandal which would get anyone else's career ruined, a major tech company he owned was bankrupted, his doctorate was built on plagiarism, and he hasn't even passed college.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"She-Hulk once convinced Jameson he could sue Peter for fraud by tricking him into thinking Peter had been selling him photos of someone else in a Spider-Man costume (this was after Peter had outed his identity to the public during the Civil War era).
She had no intention of actually taking the case and only said that so Jameson would stop attacking her with a Spider-Slayer.
Spider-Slayers seem like they wouldn't actually be all that effective against a Hulk. She-Hulk is a lot stronger than Spider-Man, so something designed against him is still likely to be weaker than she is.
I did remember that Jameson, Jen, and Jpeter were involved in a lawsuit but it was a different one and She-Hulk kind of crossed a professional line in it
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPeter balances it with having done community service that more than makes up for any missteps he has taken.
With Jonah it varies, usually when Spider-Man isn't involved he is actually a good reporter refusing to compromise ethically and has done or backed exposes. If not for the Scorpion thing I'd look aside and let him be. The Spider Slayers are iffy in that he originally backed Smythe, but what he and his son did later was basically all on them.

Please remember that, ultimately, fictional works of entertainment are just that.I skipped out on this series. What’s the gist of the overall plot? Good, bad, meh?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI didn't think it had much of a hook, it seemed to want to put Jessica firmly back to how she was before Gerry and Roger, and wasn't interested in telling any other kind of story, even with beginning with a good foundation in the consequences of being cut from the web of life (seems all the stuff from Slott's brief comeback has been largely forgotten about now)
The first three slayers were built by Smythe and piloted by Jameson, it's just that where they differed was that Jameson only wanted to catch and arrest Spidey and Smythe went for the kill.
The fourth was built by Marla, who Jameson would later marry, and after that I think Jameson stopped being involved, it's all Alistair
Ultimate Spider-Man#8 details in full
We flash back to three weeks ago, where Tony tells Peter he's at the top of a very specific list of heroes that needed put back on the map. Harry asks if his name is on the list, Tony says it isn't. Tony departs, Harry tells Otto they need to upgrade their suit's security. In the present, after talking to his picotech A.I, Peter goes shopping for cake and candles for the kids birthdays with Ben and Jameson, Ben tells Peter he reckons Jonah is in need of good company and that he's 'lonely'. Ben tells Peter he and Jonah's paper launches next month, they want Peter on the team. Peter tells them he'll talk it over with MJ. The Parkers go to the Arcade (which appears to be run by Arcade himself) and they have a good time. Jameson has a heart-to-heart with Richard about loneliness before giving him a book he wrote about himself (I wonder if this book is referencing something from Sliders?). Peter and May play in a dance-off simm, MJ tells her daughter Peter isn't the best dancer, but does make up for it 'in effort' (you'll get that one when you're older May). Meanwhile, the Kingpin assembles the Sinister Six
Wait so is Felicia the same Black Cat as the one on the cover of Ultimate Spider-Man #11?
It's gonna be fun on the bun!
Yes, there's a family photo of Walter with his wife and daughter in this issue
Though I might have been mistaken in thinking Felicia's a teen, as it states that the wife of Walter died years ago, and Felicia looks like a teen in the photo when she was alive, so she could still be as old as Peter or maybe older

The outcome of Venom War leads to a new mystery box storyline
as Venom is relaunched as All-New Venom.
Ewing will remain writer, and his artist is Carlos Gomez. The premise? There's a brand new Venom host and Dylan has to work out who it is, there are four suspects
Robbie Robertson, Luke Cage, Madame Masque, and Rick Jones
I guess Rick Jones because god forbid they do anything with Mayor Cage.

Wasn't there a story arc where the Bugle had to print a retraction cause of doctored photos?
