This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

On a side note, do we all agree that the best period for Peter and MJ was in the early '90s, when they were just incredibly horny? Just, like, the horniest characters in Marvel Comics at the time? That's gotta be their best period, I think.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I've found those scenes hilarious when I've read them, but I've also seen a lot of online fans who criticize them saying the writers were too horny or that they're cringe (or unrealistic)
I mean, maybe the writers were overly horny. That happens a lot with comic writers. That’s why there’s so many barely hidden fetishes.
But it never struck me as unrealistic for a vaguely young couple to be like that. Especially given the stress of their respective jobs.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAttractive young newlyweds having a lot of sex? That stretches my disbelief way too far!
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.John Romita Jr will continue on ASM after Wells
(this is probably after "Eight Deaths")
There's been rumours that JMS and Romita are doing a brief run of issues next year, given cryptic tweets from Strazynski about his future with Spidey in 2025
Peter decides the kids birthdays are not the best time to be putting on the suit, but the suit's A.I talks back to him and that Tom Hardy impression lives rent free in your head as you read it. It reminds Peter it is a perfect recreation of his psyche and that it can do lots of other things, it wishes the kids the best for their birthdays

The suit sphere's "smile" is equal parts creepy and hilarious.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Peter really should have chosen someone else as the template for the suit AI, like Aunt May. Although imagine it still turning in to Venom but with Aunt May as the template.
Launching off of that, has Aunt May ever been the host of Venom in a AU?

It's gonna be fun on the bun! She’s shown interest in guys before so bi wouldn’t be implausible
It is annoying though that her book introduced a new dynamic for Gwen and her MJ and nope now she’s in the 616 again. Fuck her own supporting cast. Fuck learning what her Natasha did about the Storms. She’s got to be crossover fodder

I honestly started reading during the Nick Spencer era,, specifically the ''Hunted story arc and started back-tracking from there. Honestly it gave me a fresh hatred of OMD, as I was hoping Spider-Man makes a deal with the Devil with no negative consequences besides losing a marraige would be undone. I immediatly got pissed off with Well's run and besides seeing spoilers and checking the tvtropes pages have not read it.
