This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

The sin stuff is still stupid stupid bullshit. And Norman is not without sin until he admits he kidnap murdered Peter’s baby.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
So now Spidey will be the one chased to the ends of the earth?
Cool. Shocker, it is.
Edit:
Fair enough. Although, in order for that to happen, they need to defeat a foe even worse than the Green Goblin.

One Strip! One Strip! So imagine you're a writer, an artist, a coder, a designer, a director, a producer, a liaison, a COO, a CCO. You're working for Shueisha, or Hasbro, or Nintendo, or NBC Universal, or CJ ENM, or MGM, or Toei Animation, or Microsoft, or Bushi Road or BBC1.
You read/hear this
That's how I'd be thinking, if I was working for another brand that might otherwise have something to gain from a joint project with Marvel. I can't even imagine how the owner of a property, rather than a mere cog in the machine, might feel about trusting these guys to come to a mutually beneficial agreement and then honor it.

Buldogue's lawyerYeah. When it comes to those rights issues, Marvel did start to cut off their own nose to spite their face.
It's even worse with Sony because they, more than anyone, refuse to let go under any circumstances, to the point where they're actively trying to create their own universe with Spider-Man.
I feel like this whole thing has brought out the worst in a lot of people.
That being said, we have gotten the Spiderverse movies and the 3 Sony Spider-Man games out of it.
One Strip! One Strip!Sony's own universe with Spider-Man...which consists of no Spider-Man and it's just his villains getting roped into stuff, again, without Spider-Man.
And there isn't even, I don't know, Spider-Man 2099 because a cyberpunk setting would be too expensive for the Sony higher-ups or something?
I mean, yeah, we got the animated Spider-Verse movies and the Insomniac games, but that's only because those were from people who had an idea of what to do with the Spider-Toy Box. Heck if I know what the frick is going on with the live-action movies.
And the thing is, that's good money itself. Hell, just holding the gaming rights to Spidey would probably make Sony gangbusters since it's exclusive to their specific systems.
But they gotta have those film right too, even though they clearly have zero clue what they're doing.
Sometimes, that quest for the all mighty dollar leads to some really dumb decisions....unless they are making a lot of money. Then it's not dumb....even if it's still dumb.
One Strip! One Strip! So Lowe reveals in today's ASM letters page that this issue and next were supposed to be Zeb's final issues, meaning he was going to end his run with Peter 'permanently' purging the Goblin from Norman and not fix anything else, but now it's a Series Fauxnale and Zeb 'agreed' to wrap up with ASM#60
I can't find that letters page. Is it in the comic itself or a podcast or something?
The Protomen enhanced my life.

Yeah, I'm actually ok with that.
Nothing lasts forever in comics, except poor Uncle Ben's demise, but if this takes villainous Norman off the table for a decade or so, rather than using him as Final Boss in every run... yeah, I'm good with that. Probably better for him in the long run even if he does relapse.
