This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Back on Spider-Man, what do you think will happen after this upcoming arc?
The Protomen enhanced my life.A few pages back I mentioned Adversary should replace Thanos, or something like Adversary with a more creative name.
That was a mistake. On a whim I dived into some comics dealing with the magical side of X-Men and confirmed that Adversary existed but that the one I was really thinking about was Archenemy, who has an even stupider, more generic name to the point I forgot it!! Still, I remembered him even as his named slipped from my mind. Someone like that, with a better name and maybe slightly less generic design(though he still looks better than purple puss), should take Thanos's spot as the universal bad guy who isn't Mephisto.
During my search for answers I found it funny when spider stuff surfaced where it had no business. My favorite has to be Madelyn Pryor teaming up with Ben Reilly because "clones" and Venom because "ex girlfriends". It's laughably bad in fun ways. Ben's desire to get revenge on Norman Osborn, while petty and illustrative of why Ben doesn't belong in these high stake stories, is perfectly understandable for the character. Madelyn taking the blame for Venom trying to murder Spider-Man, with genuine regret, right on target. The worst and best of Marvel all at once.

Damn but is this a slow burn
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHonestly that might be nearly everything wrong with Spider-Man atm, well besides the brain trust behind OMD still doing shit and refusing to reverse it. So as to not give Sony any more characters or storylines.
It's gonna be fun on the bun! It's worth remembering that Spider-Gwen debuted over a decade ago. The restrictions in place back then are unlikely to still apply. I doubt there's a rule now that Spider-Gwen writers can't introduce new villains. More likely, editorial just has its preferences for what kinds of stories it wants, and so it went with stories about duplicate Gwens.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Reported Amazing Spider-Man leaks for this week's issue
Turns out Peter getting the sins back was intentional, part of a strategy concocted by Peter and Living Brain, Peter overcomes the sins and finally rids both him and Norman of them once and for all. Norman offers Peter continued employment at Oscorp in gratitude, but Peter turns down the offer, he hopes they can still be friends. The arc even ends with 'The End'
I mean, in the long run, Good Guy Norman is a win. Like, he's been Peter's worst enemy. He's gotten his memory wiped, died, gone even more insane than usual multiple times, and he's kept coming back. If the sins are the embodiment of the Goblin and are truly gone, then yeah, that's a victory. Everything else failed, but now there's no more Green Goblin.
One Strip! One Strip!
