This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Doom vs Thanos is very 'who is the current writer's fave' in regards to who wins.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo give both of them God Powers, have them written by someone who hates them both, and they then killed each other.
Everyone wins (but Doom and Thanos).
That was a Or Was It a Dream?, but a good one.
Please remember that, ultimately, fictional works of entertainment are just that.I choose to rewrite that encounter in my head so he won by being smart and not punching harder.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm all for killing off Thanos, like for good, forever. Thanks to the success of the MCU character, who is very different from the comic book one anyway, that's not going to happen, but I'd be all for it. Not to be forgotten, not to be shat on, not to be humiliated, just done with, like the way Adversary and Tyrant are done with and moved on from. Actually, have Adversary or something like it with a more original name replace Thanos as "universal bad guy who isn't Mephisto". Doctor Doom, I want to keep around. He's too integral to Marvel in ways Thanos isn't.
I could stand to have Doom taken down a peg or seven though. I get that he's a team villain, so in most cases an individual hero can't look too good against him, and I get that various writers HAVE tried to chip away at the idea of Doom being "both" the second smartest scientist and second greatest arcane spell caster on Earth, but nothing really sticks. None of the various chinks in his armor are really acknowledged long term, unless they're exposed by Fantastic Four or Doctor Strange, which lets be real, aren't the most read Marvel books anymore. Doom needs a definitive, decisive loss to a team that isn't The Fantastic Four. One that never gets avenged, really, because The Fantastic Four stop him when he tries.
And I'm thinking that team would be one that doesn't regularly operate together so as not to overshadow Fantastic Four completely. One that does involve a popular character like Spider-Man though. Like Spider-Man(red and black), Alpha, Spider-Man(black and red), Black Cat and Stargod break down his suit and leave him webbed up. It took five of them, and he got away, but he lost, clean as day, no Doombots. Or maybe Spider-Man, Iceman and Firestar, because everybody loves, or at least halfway respects "Amazing Friends". Or maybe Doom is the Lone Wolf Boss of a Spider-verse event who just gets overwhelmed by the sheer numbers so there can some violence while the spiders are still trying to figure out what the Big Bad is up to.

Buldogue's lawyerYou fool! There's only one person who could lead to Doom's destruction. Only one who could lay claim to taking down Victor besides the FF.
It's time for him to face his greatest foe.
Somebody call Squirrel Girl.
It ends how it once began. With more Squirrels than even the King of Latveria can handle.

One Strip! One Strip! The moment he speaks of himself in the third person.
And we let him know as well. Now he'll have to decide if it's worth it, and if he can avoid it.
Remember Doom. More Squirrels than you can handle.
The latest Venomverse was nice in how it waxed philosophical on the interactions between uni and multiverses.
It also pointed out why the Venom from The End story hasn't participated in the various Venomverse stories: the Stark Godmind AI cut it off from the omniverse. Well that answers my question of why couldn't they rope that version in to "Nope" Carnage's multiverse slaughter of Venoms.
But it also raises an interesting question in-universe. If "All Eddies lead to Eventuality", then why didn't that one?
So yeah, good issue.
#IceBearForPresidentPeter doesn't appear to have a science background at all, and Otto is the one Norman looked to as a prodigy and son. Otto also takes a bit of Peter's DNA
BTW speaking off. I realized something really saddening after it was pointed out to me. Quesada and friends did one more day to open up the comics to all "the new iconic spiderman storylines" we could get.
In that time. The only one we've had that can legit be considered iconic is Superior and it easily could have been done with the marriage.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."It’d be a lot more awkward with the marriage for multiple reasons but MJ could be sent off on an acting job or something during that time so it’s easier for Otto to pass

Punch Thanos in the purple dick and steal Death so he can thrash her properly.
