This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Oh, ok. And that actually sounds like exactly the kind of advice Logan would give. Lord knows he knows about sinning and having done an endless amount of bad shit.
At least he's dealing with his own sins, and not someone else'.
The sins juice are just an excuse at this point to set up the status quo of Norman being Peter's boss and to make him more like MCU Norman.
At no point, did Norman ever act like a dad to Peter.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"
I'm calling Peter as Wrath. We all know Angry Spider-Man is terrifying, and Peter used to (and may still have) a nasty temper.
One Strip! One Strip! How odd to have a forgotten Spidey baddie
◊ be the villain of Union Jack the Ripper.
Reposting, cause I'm not sure it got read due to the flow of discussion, but:
So regardless how much OMD involves a character who shouldn't be a major figure in Spider-Man, as Linkara brought up in his review of it...
Well besides just having the major powerhouse heroes who could help him be absent, why didn't they have MJ being the one on death's door so that Peter's choice as foolish as it was would actually feel more selfless? Can't think of any downside that would come from it.
There was a What If? where MJ was the one shot and IIRC Spidey beat the Kingpin to death cause the bullet killed her instantly.
EDIT: Found the recap page! What If Spider Man Back In Black
Note there is no Mephisto at all. XD

The Protomen enhanced my life.Sandman appeared weirldly enough last in Invincible Iron Man (2022) where him and Iron man's Frenemy living Lazer acted as body guards for Rhoddey while he was framed in prison.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."A really underrated story arc from that post-Civil War pre-OMD era is The Sensational Spider-Man #35-37, where Mr. Hyde injected orphans with serums to give them approximations of Peter Parker's powers, then set them loose on New York to, essentially, see what would happen. (And another kid was one of Peter's students as the "control" variable.)

The Protomen enhanced my life.Dan Slott says while he'll never quit writing Spidey when the opportunities present themselves, he's retiring as a Doc Ock writer with the close of the recent Superior series
Kind of? He's trying to act as an evil mentor to Spider-Man in an Enemy Mine to save Anna Maria from a supervillain that Otto created back in his superior days.
It's Peter who dons the Superior outfit for this run but Otto is playing guy in the chair.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"To summarise:
A being called Supernova, who Otto had imprisoned back when he was Superior Spidey, escaped her prison, during a rampage in NYC, Supernova captured Anna Maria and Otto discovered Peter's identity again, and in doing so, regained all his memories of being Superior. Otto and Peter teamed up to save Anna-Maria from Supernova but Otto decided to make off with Supernova and use her power to complete a grand experiment.
The second half of the arc involves the sentient Spiders of Spiders-Man being affected by Otto's mind swap tech, which copies Otto's brainwaves and attaches them to the spiders, and they begin infecting every corner of Manhattan, so every person becomes Doc Ock, Spider-Boy is infected also.
Peter, Anna Maria, and Otto team up and Otto erases all his Superior memories, including his love for Anna Maria and his knowledge of Peter's identity, to reverse the effects of the mind control. Supernova is freed, Anna-Maria's faith in Otto is restored, and Otto escapes.

Here's one for What Could Have Been on the Superior page based off of that recent interview:
Slott had pitched a trilogy of giant-size issues for Superior's tenth anniversary, all of them were to be "What Ifs" focusing on different eras of Superior, one would be essentially "What If Superior Hadn't Ended" with Otto refusing to hand Peter back his body and coming up with a way of defeating the Goblin without having to surrender back to Pete, one would be co-written with Christos Gage but Gage would handle the third one and it'd be based off his run with Otto in Superior.

Dan Slott really likes Doc Ock. And all those ideas just sound like self indulgent ways to praise his pet character.
It’s even Doc Ock who saves the day in the new Superior series.
It’s why I feel Doc Ock is one of the most over exposed Spider Man rogues.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

Wait WHAT is Daredevil fighting right now in his comics?
He's also dealing with sin bullshit?
