This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

How many times had Miles fought Peter's regular rogues gallery anyway?
I know they get some shared custody but I'm pretty sure Miles has his own villains as well.
None of them have electric powers?
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I mean, that's common with a hip, young legacy character when the original is still around.
So many people told Clint Hawkeye to his face that Kate Hawkeye was the cool Hawkeye. I think they were trying to be deliberately hurtful.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt makes sense when you think about the fact that these guys have been fighting Peter for years. So they all developed a personal hatred for him, they fucking hate Peter for constantly sending them to the ER and prison.
Miles though is a stranger. They don't know him long enough so of course they lack the animosity with him that they have with Peter. They've known Peter for well over a decade at this point.

It's weird how Clint gets shit on but Kate is cool despite not really doing anything different. She's still a normal human and she's still an archer, there's nothing really separating the 2.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."And in the current Spider-Man Unlimited arc, Peter ends up on an actual date. With a woman who's secretly a brand new spider-inspired superhero.
They're clearly doomed, but at least he's making the effort. The same arc mentions a secure StarkDate app for superheroes - amusingly, Peter skips Hellcat's profile, but only swipes left on Jessica Drew after some indecision because it would "make the next Spider-Geddon too awkward".
(And despite using a normal dating app, she's still a superhero... are we back to Loki/whoever playing with causality and narrative again?)

Peter isn't making an effort. The date happens to look like MJ, so he's not over her at all.

Carlie's appeared a little, but not as much as she was in Spencer's run, where she admitted her own faults in her and Peter's relationship and basically served as MJ's lackey

Marvel really just slaps Stark onto any generic product, huh?
But the Slott run had the company’s big project be an MMO so maybe dating app was the next logical step

Forever liveblogging the AvengersPeter doesn't refer to Krakoa, so it's not clear how the app fits into the timeline.
But given that Feilong and Orchis usurping Tony's tech was a big part of that arc, he's lucky the Stark app didn't try to match him with someone like Selene, Moira or Omega Sentinel.
Edit: Especially as his old friend Judas Traveller was running some of the Orchis media and PR operations at that point, and would probably find this hilarious.
...although, frankly, I would read a story about any of those dates. I'm trying to remember whether he crossed paths with Selene before — I know Peter was in the Kulan Gath / Selene arc where New York got reality warped into a version of Conan's Hyboria, but I think he got killed before the reset button so wouldn't remember it?

Squirrel Girl got paired with a sentinel on a dating site
The giant purple robot kind
They couldn’t make it work though as prejudice is a dealbreaker for her

Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe eScape was a massively multiplayer online game at least before Tony turned it into an armor

"Points gun." What are you talking about, Miles never had an outfit sponsored by Adidas.
