This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I was talking about synergy with the MCU since there's a GOOD Norman Osborn variant running around after NWH.
And now the comics can actually run with good guy Norman Osborn.....forever if they want.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"In the preview for Jackpot/Black Cat#3
, Paul is referred to as "boyfriend" rather than "partner" in the book's recap page. I can't tell if that's supposed to be a relationship downgrade or upgrade depending on how you previously interpreted his status as 'partner' as 'partner' has different meanings

A previous recap page of ASM called Paul her husband before that was quietly pushed aside.
It's abundantly clear nobody has any idea what Paul's actual purpose in this story is.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonIt would explain why everything about him is so half-assed and transparent.
Nobody is even trying to pretend he's anything but an obstacle to Peter and MJ.
One Strip! One Strip!I also read Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 #3. Enjoyed Miguel and Kron's quality bonding time as they're wreaking havoc with their symbiotes. I wasn't expecting Conchata to break the news to Gabriel as well. It's kind of melodramatic, but I guess necessary. I'm interested by all the 2099 characters coming onto the fray by the end, especially Doom.
Also, another voiced section of Spectacular Spider-Men, this time with Lacey Chabert back as Gwen Stacy and Zehra Fazal as Kamala Khan.
Has Miguel's symbiote been named yet? I know the Venom symbiote is the OG one though.

It's gonna be fun on the bun!Okay Spider bros, minor victory, my house guest managed to watch the Lizard episode and she has a slightly better opinion on Peter.
So I've asked her to write an essay for each episode she watches because I wanted to test her media literacy and how well she can present her thoughts on text.
AND THIS IS THE RESULT!
" First of all why the fuck or how the fuck did he survived that incident (being shocked by electricity while getting slammed on glass soaked in water) The only interesting thing about this is how the cheerleader gets to spend time with Peter and keeps treating him like shit. Unlike the person who survived not being able to drink his so-called lousy piece of coffee. Alternatively, maybe the problem is that Max was a virgin before and after the incident occurred. Additionally, how the fuck does aunt May not hear all the slamming and banging on the phone and what is up with the kink of lizard DNA? and why is peter just straight up stupid who would want to shake hands with a guy whos like electric like who does he think he is Pikachu??"
My god, media literacy is dying thanks to the American education system.
She kinda half assed it, but she did like the Lizard episode.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"They should have Mary Jane battle Goblin!Peter so she can have the line, "Face it, Tiger, the Jackpot hit you."

I think there was a picture of her making that joke, but I don't know if it has actually happened in the comics.
Too bad that negative reception towards Jackpot would probably sour people on it, because as bad jokes go, I'm pretty ok with it.
One Strip! One Strip!
And that would, in turn prove that everyone who hates him in-universe (including some heroes) are justified to do so
@Red Hunter isn't your house guest just a kid? I wouldn't worry too much. Her ability to analyze media will likely evolve as she gets older.
She's 14.
Like it's funny, she can voice out her problems quite well but can't put it on text.
Curse you American educational system!
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Ultimate Spider-Man#5
We learn Fisk passed down ownership of Stark Industries to Harry and Gwen, who uncover the Iron Man suites with the help of Otto Octavius. Gwen has Otto sign a big NDA and Otto helps design and suit up Harry with the Goblin tech. Later we learn Harry defeated The Shocker after he beat Spider-Man, Shocker tells Harry he acquired his weapons from a superhero prospect Tony was looking to recruit but he was dead when Shocker got there. Cut to Peter and Harry sharing drinks and arranging the dinner date from last issue. We then see Harry interrogate a prisoner he met when he was recruited by Fisk
Great read, though it did feel short, the twist with The Shocker having appropriated his gear from a deceased man Stark was trying to equip makes me wonder if it was natural causes or if there's a superhero prospect serial killer on the loose. Peter's short appearance was great and he got to make a pretty emphatic badass statement about what he feels he's destined to do. Also like the foreshadowing of loss from Harry's prisoner was directed at Harry and not to Peter.
Cover lies btw Uncle Ben doesn't interview Harry, nor appears at all in the issue

Jackpot/Black Cat#3
If you don't like Paul, you'll love this issue. Dude gets soundly beaten up on a subway train, and although MJ appears to finally call him her 'boyfriend', it's off-panel and could have been said by anybody to anyone due to the commotion in the carriage. Also, MJ spends the whole fight on the subway (against the likes of Rocket Racer, Squid, and Tracer) thinking about Peter and the lessons he's taught her in the relationship, all while Paul continues to cower and ask for her help. Finally, she's bailed out by Felicia, who agrees to help her take down her girlfriend Bandwidth

Ultimate spider man also used it. Tbh I think most people think of green goblin and Norman as a split personality of good man and evil monster rather than bad man turned worse which we only got with spectacular spider man. And ngl I fully expect Insomniac will do it as well.
Due to how many works use it I don't really mind them in importing it as frankly I've always thought Norman lost all ot of nuance after the Clone saga
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
