This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

When did Marvel start doing 4 issue minis?
Also I knew we would betting a Spider-Society title based off the movie one of these. Look on the cover that’s movie Jen on a motorcycle amusingly next to comic Jen. The synergy is blatant.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."OH RIGHT! The one with the black hair and kept making advances towards Peter when he thought his wife died.
There was a reason I deleted her from my memory, especially when she was forgotten when they brought back MJ.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!""Fans got their first taste earlier this year in a special prelude story in the WEB OF SPIDER-MAN one-shot. That action packed tale saw Miguel O’Hara, AKA Spider-Man 2099, attacked by a new army of villains led by an alternate universe’s Gwen Stacy who became the Green Goblin!"
I wanna hear HER story!
The Protomen enhanced my life.In regards to the discussion of Peter maybe retiring on the prior page, the MTV Spider-Man show did end with him quitting after two supervillains trick him into accidentally crippling his girlfriend and he ends up killing said villains in the subsequent fight. Granted it was because of cancellation, but given that MTV Spidey was a very noirish, deconstructive take that seemed to have the message of "there are better ways to help people than vigilantism", that sort of downer closing where Peter comes to the conclusion that his kind of heroism can't work in the city he inhabits and just gives up felt oddly fitting for that version.
They haven't said.

And it turns out that said canon events are actually the reason why 616-Peter's life sucks so much.
Since Spider-Verse inflated the relative unimportance of George Stacy into a significant event in Peter's life and now every spider has to through "Oh no, cop guy I know died" that means any bullshit thing can be a Canon Event.
Goblins/Osborns, Symbiotes, Clones, Hunters, Spider-Man No More, Superior Sagas, anything is fair game.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Of course, the "canon event" in the movie was probably meant more to be along the lines of "Spider-Man loses a major ally due to his own mistakes and learns he can't save everyone" rather than specifically George Stacy and equivalents to him have to die. Not to mention a big part of the point of the whole canon event thing is that it's actually a load of crap and Miguel is wrong about it.
Relatedly, my best friend and I had a funny conversation once noting that the "Spider-Man's cop friend dies" can't be specific to George Stacy and his variants because that implies all the cop friends are equivalents of George and all the Spiders are equivalents of Peter, which can be twisted into suggesting all sorts of absurd things, like that Peter and Miles are variants of one another (despite a Peter dying being key to Miles' backstory) or that Miles and Gwen are variants of each other and committing sci-fi incest by dating.

The Spider-Verse event of 2024 has a title: Spider-Society
. Four issue mini-series. Alex Segura and Scott Godlewski are the creatives.
