This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I don't think they know who Peter is. Which would limit scope for that, and also explains why he was in costume for his coffee shop job. One of the things that goes wrong in the latest version is that they don't understand his history with Felicia, which alerts him to the fact it's not real.
But still... I can see them hinting at that...
Cody Ziglar confirms the big Kamala death

Feige became Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment after Perlmutter was kicked out of the company entirely, and from what I can tell, he stayed in that position for Marvel Comics (with C.B. Cebulski as Editor-in-Chief) even after Marvel Entertainment was dissolved last year (with its various divisions being kicked over to relevant parts of Disney; e.g. Marvel Comics is now an arm of Disney Publishing Worldwide, Marvel Games became a subsidiary of Disney Interactive, etc.).

Yeah, that's actually a good question. Because if he just asked them to make her a mutant, that's not, like, a crazy or abusive request. It's an incredibly simple and minor change all things considered, considering Kamala - let's face it - already functioned more like an X-Men character than a mutant one.
I guess, as you say, the question is whether Fiege just requested she be made a mutant and the idiotic way it was handled was all on Wells and company, or if Fiege was stupid enough to request it be done in that precise way.
Yes, that was the reason. But as I said, Kamala - like a lot of Nuhumans - was basically a mutant in all but name already.

Belay that booing and "for shame"-ing! And belay that specific requested bit as well!
It seems Deadpoolrocks and immortaleditor were following
the money,
because according to Cody Ziglar's interviewer,
Ziglar didn't say that Feige explicitly asked to kill Kamala. Feige just wanted them to make her a mutant somehow.
So Kamala's offing might have been Wells and Lowe's idea after all.

Feige: Hey, since Kamala's been appearing in your book lately, I'd like if you could set up her mutant status because screw Ike and his Inhuman bullshit.
Wells: Gotcha. Let's murder her!
Feige: Wait, no, I didn't mean...
Wells: [running off] Too late! The almighty Paul demands a blood sacrifice! Death to love and happiness!!!
Feige: ...Eh, whatever. I'm too busy figuring out what the hell to do with Kang after the whole Majors situation.

Would be pretty funny if they reference One More Day like this.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"
