This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Are Symbiotes ever named after happy things like... I dunno, butterflies?
The Protomen enhanced my life.Symbiote names are such shit tier.
I give Venom a pass but the rest of them really are like the writer flipped through the dictionary and picked an edgy noun. They often have very little to do with anything. They say nothing about the specific symbiote or the host. Just an edgy word chosen at random.
And Chasm is very much a symbiote tier name so Ben should be ashamed of himself. Of all people, he should know better.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMost symbiotes are actually pretty aptly named, or at least was given a reason for their name. Venom, Carnage, Toxin, Anti Venom, Madness, Misery, etc.
The other half, not really. Or at least you kinda have to finagle too much to make them fit. The Life Foundation 5 (I mean, even one of the games mocks how a symbiote is named "Scream"), Sleeper, Raze, Big Mother, Grendal, All-Black, etc.
#IceBearForPresidentSleeper could make drugs and was piloting around a brain dead host. It's less bad than Scream.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersA post showing some of the times JJ stuck up for Mutants
JJ going into the colonial white supremacist history of America and how they fucked shit up for everyone is incredibly based.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Huh. Weird for Anna to assume MJ was the one who screwed up the relationship. It would be more typical to assume the guy screwed up, especially when that guy is Peter.
So, this week's Spidet-Man Unlimited is basically just Peter, in costume, working in honest-it-ain't-Starbucks. Which none of the customers consider odd.
And trying to work up the nerve to flirt with a cute customer. It may be a hallucination, or a Mysterio style mindgame... who knows...
I don't know where it's going, but it's weird enough to hold my attention.

I don't think Liz even showed up in the spencer run until after Harry died. Because despite being the heart of the Kindred stuff, Harry didn't actually matter to this.
