This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Yeah, but like Spider-Man has demonic/mystical villains like Morlun, and Kindred who aren't exactly well received.
It's best that Spider-Man's villains stay within the realm of science fiction, rather than magic, to match the hero.
Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom, all have meta science based origin stories. Sure, it's pretty absurd in some cases where Doc Ock can somehow survive getting caught in a nuclear powered explosion with no scars or any form of cancer, but still.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Huh. So it's the first new incarnation of Gwen since Ghost-Spider-Gwen, isn't it?
And she's married to Harry? Lets see how that plays out.
One Strip! One Strip!6160 seems to be getting a lot of mileage out of characters who died or had small roles instead being alive and having big roles, while characters who got dragged out past their expiration like May and Norman are instead promptly disposed of. Definitely something I appreciate, if only because it shows how committed Hickman and company are to making this a legitimately new and weird take.
Norman may be dead, but the Green Goblin lives!
I do wonder if Norman did get the formula in this timeline. No reason he shouldn't, since I think the Maker might want him on his side.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"
You've jinxed it. The missing Radioactive Spider will end up biting her and turning her into Spider-Gwen/Woman/Silk.

That observation made me realize that while Maker tried to prevent all the superhero origins, he doesn't seem to have bothered doing so with the villains. Shocker is around, Mysterio is too (though he's a hero here), Kingpin and Bullseye as well... some of them are integrated into his system, others aren't. Makes sense; the only supers Maker saw as a threat to his plans were the sort of people with the moral fortitude to try and stop him. He can easily placate villains or even just ignore them. Heroes wouldn't stop trying to overthrow him unless he took steps to either prevent them from existing or meddled in their histories to make them his followers.
A few other highlights from Web of Spider-Man
For the Zeb/Romita story, it's Just three pages where Spidey shows off some legit cunning and competence, beating up Tombstone's men and sending a van full of gun shipments to the bottom of a river
The Gold Goblin story establishes that Norman is very crazy again and he beats Grave Goblin up and takes him back to the limbo embassy
Maddie Pryor lets Ben escape his limbo confinement, saying the 'humane' option has now passed and she has lost interest in being a warden
Looks like the villain in the upcoming Chasm/Kaine crossover is The Eternal Druig
And it looks like the TVA are involved with Ghost Spider's upcoming set up

Dammit, Madelyne Pryor
Also, Druig was supposed to be in forever jail or manually rebuilding Mars. Dammit, the Eternals and/or mutants!
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSpider-boy madame monstrosity captures Bailey, and Christina and hellifino remembered that spider-boy was the one who gave madame monstrosity the idea to mix him up that bad. Madame monstrosity then has a flashback about why exactly she hates Bailey so much now, he was her crown jewel able to morph between full spider-and realtively normal kid and he was missing when she brought the high evolutionary to show off her work. He leaves disgusted when she fuses a plumber and a crab and tells her I only came to see your spider shifter, I uplift animals you just smash them together, never contact me again.
Now that embedding is back, here's a short of Spider-Man helping someone get back their Smart Phone.
He's not called the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man because he fails all the time....despite what Marvel would have you think.
One Strip! One Strip!

Like I said, the idea would need reworking to work.
I think the Raimi movies probably give a good idea of how it could've been done, with Norman being "possessed" and manipulated by the Goblin persona.
