This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Rereading a hilarious article
about why Aunt May is one of Spider-Man's most terrifying villains.
That would explain why she never seems to age and sometimes even gets younger...
The Protomen enhanced my life.I mean, he's Mephisto, I wouldn't be surprised.
Mind you, JJ Jameson Senior being a trick of Mephisto to screw with his son would also be entirely in character.
If a character needed a Troll Mr. Sinister makeup, it's Meppy.

I vividly remember reading the Jameson origin story that stated his dad was an abusive drunkard, and Jameson was determined to never repeat that cycle with his own son.
So Dan Slott coming in and retconning that to make his own spin at Jameson's dad disorientated me when I went back.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"No, Dan Slott retconned Jonah's abusive alcoholic dad into his step-dad/uncle. Because Slott's idea for Jonah's dad is RADICALLY different than what Wells did.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Good news everyone! I got a hold of USM #2 from my comic store just now!
Not so good news, everyone! I thought I was also getting the second print of USM #1 as well…but apparently I made my subscription too late to have that second print. Even though I made my subscription when the second print wasn't out yet. Shoot.
Apparently my new hope is that I net the third printing coming in March.
And I was doing such a good job of not reading #1 via the usual way of perfectly legal means because it would’ve undermine USM's specialness.
Whatever. It's just a book, I'm sure this happens to others. …Right?
Yes, in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #61. https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Peter_Parker,_The_Spectacular_Spider-Man_Vol_1_61
EDIT: I found basically a shot-for-shot live-action Fan Film version of Amazing Fantasy #15, called "Spider-Man: The Origin." It was made in 1991 by the guy who became Feedback from 'Who Wants to be a Superhero'.

The Protomen enhanced my life.

I dunno, has Rick Jones been viable as a character except as A-Bomb since the Eighties?
