This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Not to my knowledge. Aqua-baby being dead has remained pretty firmly canon through most of the reboots, probably because it's one of Aquaman's best and most notable storylines. It definitely remained canon in Post-Crisis, where Black Manta practically made a sick running gag out of reminding Arthur about how he killed his son.
It’s actually fascinating how Aquaman was able to develop as a character and how his situation evolved. Because he wasn’t Superman or Batman, he could do that
He went from a loner, to adopting a mutant child. He was apart from Atlantis, barely having anything to do with them. And then he became the hero of the city and then it’s king. He met Mera and had a Superman/Lois Lane esque relationship with her. But then they actually got married and had a child together.
And the thing is that because he was allowed to evolve, it’s become his iconic status quo that he’s king of Atlantis and husband to Mera
Even Superman isn’t that consistently married to Lois Lane because reboots keep happening but there’s little in Aquaman’s earlier stuff that’s as appealing as king of Atlantis, married to Mera
Forever liveblogging the AvengersNorman has referenced it so it either still happened or nobody gave him the memo that the past has been retconned

Forever liveblogging the AvengersOn the subject of Aquaman, I think the death of his first child is noncanon currently.
At the moment they are treating Arthur and Mera's new daughter Andy as the first kid Arthur has, with Arthur jr. and Koryak currently retconned out.
Probably a couple reasons for that, like how Andy was intended to be Aquamana's successor for 5G and then they tried a redemption storyline for Black Manta which obviously wouldn't work if he ya know killed a kid out of spite.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Have Peter and MJ or any of his other love interests across the multiverse ever had a child besides Mayday? Just wondering.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Life story also gives him a girl and a boy.
The girl kinda looks like Mayday, although I think she was named Annie.
One Strip! One Strip!
No she was named Claire. Which is weird because in terms of design, characterization, and general role in the story, she was quite blatantly meant to be Mayday, all the way down to her brother still being named Benjy and her becoming Spider-Girl in the final issue. No idea why Zdarsky didn't just call her May; maybe because in his version, Aunt May was still alive when Mayday/Claire was born.
There was also another son named Ben in the Bloodlines comic, who aside from the name had nothing to do with Benjy.
Other than all those exceptions to the rule, Mayday is pretty much the go-to if any writer wants to give Peter and MJ a kid, largely because Mayday is awesome and near-universally beloved.

I wonder if a hypothetical Peter/Felicia kid would inherit their mom's white hair.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I'm honestly forgetting if Felicia's hair is naturally white or a wig or dyed or what. I'm also forgetting if there's ever been a canon universe where Pete and Felicia were endgame ship and had a kid, which suggests to me that if there was, it was in something so obscure even I never read it or forgot about it.
There isn't one. Even the issue of What If? where the question posed is, "What if Spider-Man Married the Black Cat"
, has the marriage end due to Felicia accidentally outing Spider-Man's secret identity while rubbing her marriage to Spidey in Mary Jane's face. This leads to an assassination attempt from Vaulture that nearly kills Aunt May, Black Cat killing Vulture in revenge for making Spidey cutting off the relationship, and Black Cat getting shot while trying to help Mary Jane escape a fight between Spidey and Paladin.
Hasn't stopped fan artists and shippers, obviously.

Though speaking of DC in a more relevant sense, Linkara is reviewing Marvel VS DC next month via Patreon.
Still surprised that he wouldn't anyway even with it being more good.
Especially since it is within the Clone Saga and with that snafu of Ben using the Peter Parker identity even though it is after The Sensational Spider-Man #0. Done for casuals, but still yeah.
Also kind of feeds the explanation that those merged worlds (Not Amalgam) crossovers happened via slight merging as The Joker recalls meeting Spidey. Access even refers to the second crossover at the beginning of Unlimited Access #1.
And that belief in mind, yeah an old observation early in the 2000s is Doom in the second Superman/Spider-Man team up built a tunnel between New York and Metropolis, which could have possibly remained as a link even with the worlds separating.
Also technically shouldn't be able to happen. I mean didn't MJ suggest marriage only if they had a child and no baby out of wedlock?
At best it comes off as a blatant excuse to be edgy.
At worst it comes off as a passive aggressive post-hoc excuse as to why "canon" had to go the way it did.
#IceBearForPresident@ 33296 I'm still sad they never returned to that universe, cause it was begging for a sequel.
The Protomen enhanced my life.

I was gonna joke about Aquaman being the first superhero to marry and have a kid on-panel but then I remembered his toddler son was murdered by a villain. :(
He and Spider-Man have similar angst sources...
