This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Go further and Bailey keeps aging past Peter and eventually we get an issue where Bailey is 98 years old and surrounded by his family on his death bed while Peter is still acting like a high schooler.
They keep being evil or dead or jerks
So what I’m saying is let’s bring Kaine back and make him Peter’s roommate
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm still glad that Saladin Ahmed's run on Miles ended with just Shift left as Miles' endearing Humanoid Abomination little brother (who unfortunately has to hide out beneath Brooklyn Visions).
The Spider-Ben series from a year or two really played with Spidercide’s shapeshifting. But that was years ago. I didn’t even know Spidercide was still alive
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
An evil shapeshifting clone of Peter that was bred by Jackal to both think he's the real Peter and to be murderously insane. He kinda dropped off the face of the Earth around the end of the Clone Saga and never got mentioned again for years. It's only very recently that he's been starting to make appearances again for some reason.
Spidercide is from the Clone Saga, natch. IIRC he was pretending to be Spiderman before Ben Reilly was.
But like Kaine he was a defective clone, so he melted. Then he came back and changed it that he didn't actually melt, but his defective genomes did mean he could shapeshift.
He was a straight up villain for a long time, but recently he's more of a tsundere to his brothers.
#IceBearForPresidentSince he's a clone of Spidey maybe 'fratricide' was what they were thinking of.
The Protomen enhanced my life.He also appeared in Across the Spider-Verse. Interestingly, in that he's listed by the popup as being from Earth-616. Not 616-A or 616-B or anything like that, the actual Earth-616 comic universe.

The Spider-Verse movies have a tendency to list off characters as coming from whichever universe corresponded to their original appearance even if they're clearly not meant to be the same version of said characters; Peter B. is listed as being 616 Peter even though they're lives have obviously diverged, and Gwen is listed as coming from Earth 65 even though her story differs radically at points from the Spider-Gwen comic.

Well, Across actually retcons Peter B. and Miles as being from Earth-616A and Earth-1610A, respectively, likely because that's when they started tapping into the actual Marvel Multiverse. They use the right numbers for the MCU and everything else. They even show Steve Ditko and John Romita Jr. panels during the explanation of Canon Events as if to confirm that, yes, they mean that 616, not something similar.
