This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

How did I know that the mysterious Jackpot was really Mary Jane Watson?
Elementary, my dear Rob. I looked it up online.

It only just hit me, but damn. They really did base her entire superhero concept and persona on squeezing that one line of dialogue and nothing else, huh?

The first pages of Hickman's Ultimate Spider-Man #1!
Sooo, me thinks that "the thing" is a memorial event for the people that died in Ultimate Universe #1, and we know Aunt May, Norman Osborn, and Emily Osborn are among the deceased.

Wow, that first line of dialogue is such a direct shot against editorial, it took me a minute to stop laughing at the audacity: " Peter Parker, you are not getting any younger". I haven't even bought comics in many years, but I may just get this one to show my support (I actually was thinking about doing it anyways since it's a "fresh starting point", but now I'm extra motivated).

I'm sure it's been said, but its still really funny to me just how vast the gulf of quality between the Ewing penned issues and the Ram V/Grønbekk issues is. You have Ewing taking Venom in this batshit insane direction that really propels the character into brave new territory and then you have V and Grønbekk mostly just having Dylan get into random fights.
I enjoyed the first few pages from that USM preview, Hickman has got the voice just right for Peter and MJ and I like how the kids sound too. I also love the little details of Peter putting on the big man pants and his wedding ring, it's a bit like suiting up for an adult world
I'll be real interested in how Hickman handles Peter with the powers at this stage in his life, and I hope I don't end up constantly comparing this take to how the MC 2 or Renew Your Vows families have handled life as a unit. Given how 100% positive, forward-thinking, and trusting of one another those ones are.
I also feel like Marvel spoiled me a little last month with the Unlimited Renew Your Vows story. I love getting a regular marriage fix, but the simple fact Marvel are still willing to produce RYV and Mayday stories, even in that format, makes me desire more of what's established by them

I don’t like her being young, but that’s a cool design.
