This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Yeah, I have no idea what's going on in that run from osmosis. I think Peter gobbled for a bit. There was a vulture? There's a wedding or a gang war or a gang wedding?
He's wearing a mask but you can tell he's got poop face under it

Forever liveblogging the AvengersVulture shows up in an early issue because he's mad that Peter told his granddaughter he was evil and now she won't talk to him. I don't think he's shown up since.
Currently, the storyline is a Gang War between every street level criminal who's ever appeared in anything, and it's crossing over with multiple books.
re: the picture
I am convinced that the artist really wanted to slip in a nod to one of the Spider-Man (1967) memes (specifically, the one where Spidey's squatting over a chimney and which is captioned "You're getting shit for Christmas"), and you cannot make me believe otherwise.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryLuke's arc about wrestling with the fact that as Mayor he has to uphold a clearly unjust law that's actively hindering his ability to deal with the crisis is pretty fascinating.
I'm kind of predicting it'll end with him getting the law repealed but having to leave office to satisfy its supporters. Whereupon a total asshole will probably replace him because Marvel Civilians.
I hear Arcade is running for mayor, we should vote for a successful live streamer.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Mayor Cage has been oddly underutilized considering it was the big fallout from Devil's Reign.
I won't be surprised if Cage is a one term mayor since he can't even fulfill his campaign promise to repeal the anti-superhero law and couldn't even get a legal alternative off the ground for more than five issues.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah woo poly hinting but if only they’d chosen a different love triangle
Oh, one thousand times this
Wolverine is such a difficult character to me because he has good moments and then has so much baggage attached to him like constantly being a creep but while also treating him as the most amazing special guy
But there’s so much of it!
That’s a lot of people getting Snkt’ed!
And I like Logan.
One Strip! One Strip! The difference (obviously I would say, but it bears mentioning) is that the story has never really condoned the murder. "What I do isn't very nice".
Him getting his own room in the Summers house on the moon? After being a creep to Jean and intruding with her romance with Scott? Yeah, that's not cool at all.
U.S Army E-sports Discord Server Ban Speedrun Any%That's a very pointy sex toy.
Like, you gotta be careful when you swing that, or you might cut something you don't want cut.
There are lower maintenance sex toys that are more pleasant to have at the breakfast table after
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDon't use those things on your food after using them as Sex-Toys!
....Right. Back to Spiderman.
...um....who's involved in Gang War besides Luke Spidey and She Hulk?
One Strip! One Strip!

See, when it comes to discussing Spider-Man villains, this is why I find Gobby to be more fun to talk about than Paul.
Paul is just some guy made up by Editorial to be an obstacle. It just overshadows everything else in the run.
I'd very much prefer to discuss cool ideas, like how Spider-Man lately has been adapting the tech of his villains, like Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus.
How neat is that idea? Spider-Man is at a low point in his civilian life and it's affecting his superhero work to the point that he's starting to use the tech of his two big villains to get by.
I feel like there's a lot you could have done with that premise.
