This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

The wiki isn’t clear on what exactly happened. Apparently Paul was studying super magic math with his professor dad and then professor dad destroyed the world with super magic math
I honestly cannot bring myself to care about any of this
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHe was. Though the way the narrative frames it makes it seem well and truly awful, as basically "whoopsy doopsy I helped massacre billions but oh well can't hold it against me it was an accident uwu". He doesn't show anywhere near the trauma and guilt you would expect from somebody who was supposedly manipulated into helping commit a genocide without realizing it, and the comic goes to great lengths to downplay his part in it and make him out to be the real victim. It's just a prime example of how Paul is a blatant Creator's Pet and plot device who exists purely to keep MJ and Peter apart.
Wait, that goblin mask/makeup is so good
Why couldn't they do that on a movie budget?

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt just hits me that even now, we still only have Paul's word to go on over his "being tricked by daddy" sob story.
In his incompetence, Wells opted to tell, without showing, thus leaving the door wide open for a competent writer to come in one day and say "nope, he was full of crap! He was in on it from the start voluntarily! Wolf in sheep's clothing, people!"
Tbh if I was Wanda I'd be liable to sign up with ORCHIS. Mutantkind totally threw her under the bus before M-Day and has treated her as a pariah ever since. No solidarity whatsoever. Storm walked up to her and said to her face that she voted against her resurrection because it was politically problematic. I would have smacked her right then and there.
I guess that's why she's on the main Avengers team and not Steve's Uncanny. Her debts are paid via the waiting room, now fuck off and leave me be.
U.S Army E-sports Discord Server Ban Speedrun Any%Man, X-people can be dicks. I think Nightcrawler being a chill and friendly guy is why I like him so much.
Also he looks like a devil but is Catholic. That's cool.
Say, is Beast still doing war crimes?
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Old School Beast is best Beast.
He (probably) smoked so much weed.

I half-suspect that, to bring Beast back from basically being the 616 version of Dark Beast to being his classic, friendly self, the X-Men will end up needing to get him super stoned, and then they'll never let him completely sober up again for the rest of his life.
"I think Nightcrawler being a chill and friendly guy is why I like him so much." Also, there's an alternate reality where he and Wanda totally boned down.
I know Kurt and TJ have a really nice relationship. I don't think Nocturne's ever met Wanda, has she? That'd probably make for a fun story. I wonder if she even knows about Nocturne.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Wanda sure has a lot of kids that she didn't personally birth.
Billy, Other One, Nocturne, Viv sorta.

There's a reason the combined Summers-Pym family tree is an eldritch nightmare. Reminder that these two families, linked via Havok and Janet's kid from Uncanny Avengers, is so vast, sprawling, and bizarre that you could technically consider at least one version of Cyclops to be Galactus' father-in-law.

Wasn’t he tricked into that, though? Hence the caveat I put in my initial question.
