This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I mean, Peter DOES have access to the tech that Norman's company makes so it's not a stretch he's able to make his own Spider-Goblin gear.
I'm more surprised he didn't make a Spider who gobbles outfit besides the cover.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Frankly, I'm annoyed Spidey doesn't use lots of gadgets more often outside his web-shooters and the occasional use of spider-trackers. It really adds to the Science Hero aspect when he has Batman-style gadgets out the ass to supplement his powers or just to add some flourish, like the Spider-Signal that he shines to freak people out or even, yes, the Spider-Buggy. One thing I did like about the Slott run was the emphasis he put on that aspect.
I mean, Peter built himself his own armour under the right circumstances.
Get him the proper gear and he can be pretty creative. Not Tony Stark level, but still.
One Strip! One Strip! He built armor right before Ends of the Earth. Although I think it turned out that Otto hacked it before even needing to see it because Peter built it out of back engineered villain tech, like a plagiarist.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHonestly, I’m surprised we aren’t seeing more supervillain tech being reverse engineered for civilian sectors.
Imagine using Doc Ock’s arm technology to help cripples and handicaps?
No one will care about plagiarism.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"According to the March solicits, we're getting a new 'Web of Spider-Man' one-shot
that will contain short form stories that'll hype up all the major arcs throughout 2024.
Wells gets two stories with Ed Mc Guiness and John Romita Jr that set up more fallout from Gang War and another about Goblins, while Steve Foxxe and Greg Land will set up something with Ben Reilly and Kaine.
Alex Seguara is working on a new Spider-Society series, which is being built in Edge of Spider-Verse next year, and he'll have a preview of it in this issue.
Greg Weisman also sets up arc two of Spectacular Spider-Men.
And Peter David appears well enough
to commit to Symbiote Spider-Man 2099
Imagine using Doc Ock’s arm technology to help cripples and handicaps?
No one will care about plagiarism.
That's because most villains tech starts out as stuff meant for the Civilian sector, but then they get their orgins and turn to crime.
Or they somehow manage to keep that tech from being developed by anyone else.
How else do you explain why we never see Shocker tech elsewhere. Or Beetle (well, [[Comic Book/Thunderbolts Mach 1....or 5....now?) tech being used by civilians.
Which is interesting, since in this modern era, it'd be a lot easier to go into business for yourself with the Internet and online shit. Plus, with all the shit you can DIY in the real world, you'd think amateur inventors in Marvel would be making a mint.
One Strip! One Strip! He kinda had an easy out for that during the Horizon Lab days when he got to be the scientist making Spider-Man’s gear
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat armor was such a damn letdown with all the build-up.
He got to take out fricken' Chameleon and that's it?
"I made this armor immune to Octavius hacking!" Octavius hacks it
"I made this armor strong enough to take on Rhino" Rhino can't even be budged by him
Where is the TVT puking emoji
If he needed to take down the Chameleon, he could have just brought along MJ or Aunt May
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's always struck me as very amusing that, despite being Spidey's first notable villain, Chameleon has basically been a borderline joke since day one. I suppose it doesn't help that his gimmick is basically just a more narrow version of Mysterio's, meaning anything you can do with him can be done with Mysterio better.

He knows Ben is trying to steal his shtick as the evil Spider-Man, so he's trying to re-assert himself.
One Strip! One Strip!
