This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Celeste Bronfman is still writing but now Emilio Laiso is on art.
Le sigh...

I have this one!
Spidey (kinda, sorta) teams up with Santa Claus to beat up some bank robbers.

Some MJ fans feel the only reason this is happening is because MJ and Peter aren't together. Of course, this ignores that their first team up was during Spider-Man Beyond when Peter and MJ were together.

The last series with Felicia and MJ teaming up together is also regarded as pretty terrible and came right off the heels of status quo changes nobody likes, which is the same here. Jackpot is getting a one-shot as well, and if it fails to deliver or gives the fans some reason to cheer MJ on, this series will fail also.
No, Peter was out of his coma by this point and was simply recuperating in hospital. The issue ended with the now-famous scene of him in a delirium thinking he was having a threesome fantasy 'again'

"Bronfman's only done two fairly middling back-up stories" Those are her only Marvel credits. She's not exactly new to writing, though, including for comics. It's not like Marvel's taking a big chance on someone unknown. And hell, a 4-issue mini isn't a big chance anyway.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Cebulski did an interview with Sci Fi-Now and revealed Marvel's biggest seller this year was the debut of Spider-Boy
The real question is if anyone other than Slott will write him in their book. Mackay's new addition to the Moon Knight lore in Hunter's Moon will stick because he was in City of the Dead as well as the Ms. Marvel team up. Doombot wasn't a one off joke because Rowell loved him and put him in Runaways. My guess is no, and he will disappear into the aether as one author's pet project.

I suppose fading into obscurity after Slott's done with Spider-Boy, while not ideal, would still be preferable to, let's say, Wells taking the reins of the character and revealing that Bailey Briggs is actually the illegitimate son of Paul or something.

A more cursed idea is that he was instead a Fusion Dance between the two fake kids, with warped memories and a desire to hook MJ and Paul back together becuase of them.
Granted that would be an intriguing antagonsit idea in any other context, but I don't think the impatient readers would appreciate more obstacles/reasons to continue Quesada's maligned legacy and everyone else would find the Face–Heel Turn too jarring to tolerate.
Maybe the new two kids nobody likes will join forces with the old two kids nobody liked
