This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I don’t want to mock him.
He’s just a character that editors are forcing to act the way they want instead of who he should be.
One Strip! One Strip! We've reached a point now when even the old defenses for OMD (claims that it was just a small number of readers who wanted Peter to get old and die that wanted him married) has fallen apart. Even the other versions of Peter are openly mocking Post-OMD Peter. I've reached the point myself where my only interest in 616 Peter is to laugh at him. Ultimate and the Insomniac games are the "real" Spider-Man now.

My interest is in the hopes things can and will get better, as unlikely as it seems right now.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Again, it also depends if in time readers in general, not just a handful stop feeding the crap with nonstop attention. Reviews to let us know the condition of quality or lack of for ASM is good, just that there needs to be even more attention for alternatives likes the new USM, and again Gargoyles which when a story gets the "Things will never be the same again", it actually has some weight.
Helps to support any fresh reprints for Spider-Girl or Renew Your Vows if they do second reprints for it.
Plus it's a sad truth that the Editorial has very little incentive to change, even if this run is the most negatively received one in a long while, it's still printing money. Editorial can basically get away with shit like this, they'll face no consequences for losing talent like Nick Spencer.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"The MCU might also provide an avenue for change on that front. Have a money where Spidey and MJ hook up, and then in a few years have a daughter. and then watch Marvel scramble for movie synergy or trying to appease the bigger fish.
(this does need at least a few years and Sony's collaboration though)
Man, how bad has Spider-Editorial gotten that we're now at the point that we hope for Executive Meddling from the marketing department (a.k.a. the very thing that turned The Clone Saga into the hot mess in the Spidey comics before One More Day) to fix everything?

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryIt is really sad that Spider-Man ended up becoming a victim of the comics success. Spider-Man just ended up becoming so big that no one up top actually attempts to make sure their ideas actually measure up. They just slap something down and just don't care.
It kinda shows something. Marvel wants to be the world outside your window but the thing about the world outside your window is that it changes,it moves forwards, it grows up. Marvel just doesn't want to let the world grow.

For the love of god editorial.
Just bring back the marriage.
Everyone is fighting you on it. It is really worth it at this point.
