This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Superior Spider-Man would be better if it starred Jameson instead of Otto.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I imagine Spider-Jonah would be Lawful Good to the core, and have a public identity.
Granted, I don't think Headline had one.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"There IS a history of superheroes having side jobs in journalism.
Like Clark Kent, Superman.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah there's a conflict of interest when Clark Kent writes articles about Superman, but it's a whole new level when Jameson, who is the head of his own newspaper and various other media outlet he owns, writes articles on his own escapades as a spider hero.
Clark is just another cog in the machine, while Jameson is the head of that machine.

Clark was the Planet's Editor-in-Chief in Kingdom Come, though at the time he wasn't active as Superman.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonHe might just have wanted people to support a married Peter book. He did one of those too.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHe’s the shock jock of Spider-Man but he is leaning towards pro marriage at times.
He was the guy who wrote and set the stage for Renew your vows.
Guy has a lot of contradictions in his social media and Twitter.
My favorite being that he TOTALLY made Superior to give Doc Ock an iconic moment as a supervillain to beat Green Goblin.
And the run ends with Norman utterly outsmarting and humiliating him into giving Peter his body back.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Hm, maybe it was in that issue of Spidey where Cap yelled at him
For reference, nobody tricked Jameson. Cap just confronted Jameson after another "Threat or Menace" article, and a lot of visual emphasis was put on Jameson's Hitler stache. Cut to next page and Spidey is in a web hammock outside the Bugle reading that day's retraction, gives Jameson a thumbs up, and we see a very angry Jameson took the hint and shaved his mustache.

#IceBearForPresidentThanks for the context
And Jameson needs to grow his mustache back asap. He looks so wrong without it
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHe changed his style at some point in the…. 2000s maybe? Maybe later? So that it was a wider mustache. But artists go back and forth on it!
When Jameson was a major supporting cast member of Amazing Spider-Man and Silk, he had the Classic Satche in Amazing and the Full Satche in Silk
(Not to mention that his personality and how serious a journalism website Threats n Menaces was also inconsistent between the two books.)

x7 In regards to Dan Slott and the marriage and in general… I think Slott is, as you noted, kind of a shock jock. Which is to say, there’s the public persona he plays up and there’s the actual guy. Publicly — online or in the office — he’s a total company man suck-up who will never rock the boat or question orders, but beneath that he doesn’t agree with the direction Lowe and those like him have taken the book and characters and wishes it could be different.
He probably wants to write Peter as an actual adult and married to MJ — hence why his elseworlds near-unanimously do that and why his run made repeated effort to get Pete and MJ back together bit by bit — but he’s also never going to openly challenge Lowe and is willing to take the flack whenever Lowe starts making demands and ghost-writing. He writes what he’s told to write and uses the spaces between that to make stuff he actually likes. That’s my suspicion of it, at least. It would certainly explain why his stories so wildly fluctuate in quality from “some of the best writing Spidey has had in years” to “godawful trash that has no right to even exist”.

Preview of the Spider-Gwen:Smash mini
over at Marvel's site.
It seems it will introduce the Earth-65 version of Dazzler, Rick Jones and Hulk. I am looking forward to it since it has nothing to do with variants or clones, just Gwen and the band on tour with Dazzler's band.

Not clones or variants? Is that legal? They're just allowing Gwen's universe to be further developed??

That happened in the most recent spiderverse. He was called Headline I think
