This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

This Is a Wiki, so as long as it qualifies...
That said, we do have a dedicated Marvel Comics cleanup and maintenance
thread, and folk there have been discussing Spider-Man and Venom pages a lot recently (and creating sandboxes for some of the missing ones). So might be worth discussing it there?
"Meet Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson—MR. & MRS. PARKER! They’re one of pop culture’s most iconic couples, and now readers will see them stronger than ever in the Ultimate Universe. To celebrate, Peter and MJ’s romance will be featured on a series of picture perfect variant covers by Elizabeth Torque that will adorn the first four issues of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN. Spidey superstar Ryan Stegman also spotlights the whole Parker family on a new promotional piece"
...Thing is, why is just the first four issues and not an indefinite thing as the book goes on?
Unless...oh no... ...Ohhhhh no
They're gonna kill MJ off in the fourth issue aren't they? That'll be Peter's Uncle Ben moment in this continuity...

Man, Peter looks weird with facial hair. I guess 61 years of being depicted as clean-shaven will do that.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionarySpider Man tricked Jameson into shaving once or something. I don’t remember the details, only that clean shaven Jameson is a frightful thing to see
Hm, maybe it was in that issue of Spidey where Cap yelled at him
Forever liveblogging the AvengersNorman had a big, bushy Horseshoe mustache (think Hulk Hogan) when he was in disguise as "Mason Banks" during "The Superior Spider-Man".
"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryI didn’t count Mason Banks since that was him wearing an entirely different face as a disguise not just his normal face, which I assumed is what they were talking about.
Though when I think about it, I THINK he might have had a mustache in the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon after he faked his death in the final episode.

Here
's an image of him. Decide for yourself whether the "cursed" part is the artist's rendition of the ravages of age, or if it's just the fact that a Complete Monster like Norman Osborn gets to live this long at all.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's Dictionary
There is no Fantastic Four in this universe. Maker purposefully made sure they could never exist by killing Ben and the Storm twins before they got their powers or even met Reed, and enslaved Reed himself, forcibly turning him into this universe’s Doctor Doom.
However… maybe the Spider-Family is going to be this universe’s equivalent of the FF…
Honestly, now we’ve mentioned the idea, I can really see it and see that as the way they go. Have Peter and his family be the “First Family” of this new universe; him as Reed, MJ as Sue, May and Benjy (assuming that’s their names here since that’s their standard names) as Franklin and Valeria, then have the extended family/Future Foundation be made up of various superhero allies and friends. Ben Reilly or Hobie or Miles as Johnny, Kaine or someone similar as Ben Grimm, Silk or Mattie or Jess as Lyja, etc.. It’s actually a pretty good idea and would emphasize the “family” aspect of Spider-Man, which is always wonderful when they let it happen and seems to be what Hickman hopes to go with here. Maybe he’s wanting this to be a kind of Spiritual Successor to his FF run.

Incidentally, we've had three variant What Ifs? on Flash Thompson being bit by the radioactive spider, even something like General Ross becoming The Hulk (Not Red Hulk).
Is there any reason not to have J Jonah Jameson getting the spider bite. We even had smaller stories with Aunt May in that situation?

Unrelated note. But would anyone mind if made a page for the alien costume and Venom sagas. It seems a bit weird that both of the iconic sagas that introduced one of spidermans arch enemies and has been adapted countless times doesnt have a page here.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
