This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Another reprint of Spider-Girl's early adventures. If anyone missed out on the Complete Collection version there you go.
A reread of Spider-Girl plus new game coming up soon is exactly the sort of pallet cleanser I need from the Wells Hell. God, I love MC 2. It’s awesome and I still consider it effectively the canon future for the MU in my personal canon.
Yeah, the more time marches on, I'm convinced Spider-Girl is what really happened to the original versions of Peter and MJ. I love JMS to death but I'm perfectly content thinking of it more as the path towards Renew Your Vows too.
Ron Frenz has told fans at conventions he never liked what Marvel did to Mayday after he and Tom D were relieved of the character, and even said if they ever got to work on her again they would follow up on what they got away with last time and just ignore the post-Spider-Verse changes (don't see the point really, Marvel walked back on those changes for the most part anyway)
Superior Spider-Man Returns
Largely flashbacks. Estrella Lopez is a former assistant and Spiderling minion who gave Otto the code he needed to harness the power of the sun, Otto takes full credit for the idea and his henchmen all agree...despite all being within earshot of her as she suggested herv idea. While Otto/Peter has dinner with Anna Maria, Estrella attempts the experiment herself (she even gets to say the "power of the sun" line from Raimi's Spider-Man 2), it goes wrong and it transforms her into an energy being. She begins calling herself Supernova and battles Otto, who is able to contain her.
In the present, Otto attempts to activate the device, only to inadvertedly free Supernova. She vows revenge on Spider-Man, not realizing he was Otto, and takes off. Otto is quite happy about this, as it means Spider-Man has a new obstacle
x4: Pfffft!
I kid you not, I'd actually roll with this.

Wait.
Wait wait wait.
So the SpOck stuff is flashbacks and Otto doesn't really go back to being the Superior Spider-Man per se in the present?
I mean, I was meh on them bringing back SpOck in the first place, but to not actually go through with it? Geez, now I'm glad Slott blocked me.

The ending of the one-shot says "To be continued in... 'Superior Spider-Man' #1", so I'm assuming Otto is still going to end up with Spider-powers again, it just didn't happen in "Superior Spider-Man Returns".
@Red Hunter 543 Skrull MJ would be the only acceptable answer next to all just a dream.

I don't even know, he was just there among the Enforcers and Mysterio. XD
He died offscreen. So offscreen that it took a twitter post to tell us how.
Blackheart beat him to death "in a gutter", stole the symbiote, and ate his wife and baby. Toxin then somehow ended up in a mobster's possession.
...
I remember when Toxin was getting pushed to be as popular as his pops and grandad.

Patrick was Killed Off-Panel by Blackheart to get the Toxin symbiote back in the "Agent Venom" era of the Venom comics a little over a decade ago.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryI vaguely liked Eddie's stint with Toxin. At least eventually, his initial portrayal as "Mid-to-early Venom, but orange" was lame.
I also really dig the current stint with Bren Walters. Venom, Rascal (re: basically Carnage) and Toxin being bonded to pre-teens who are kinda-sorta friends with each other isn't a bad idea.
I still think Patrick Mulligan had the best potential though. It's a shame his one mini-series killed his hype (and by extension, him).
