This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Slott had fun with the wrestling comparisons in his "Learning to Crawl" flashback arc, which was largely about wrestling fan turned costumed heel Clash making a bunch of dangerously wrong assumptions about the level of kayfabe in Spider-Man's early battles.
I think the issue with Parker Industries is that it was too big, honestly.
Peter working in a science-y field isn't that absurd, and I was fine with him at Horizon, but becoming literally Tony Stark is a step too far.
I think if Peter was a struggling businessman with a tiny startup, it'd be way better.
Spider-Man and wrestling do have an interesting history cause he started as a masked wrestler fighting Crusher Hogan.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, that's the bit Slott plays with - Clash is a wrestling fan who sees that and thinks the costumed battles are at least partly scripted and/or staged, so creates his own masked identity to join in. Probably just as well his first big fight is with Spider-Man, not the Vulture, who he sees in the distance...
Just realized something. What if they're in "auto-we don't give a f*ck" mode and they literally don't care about our reactions? I mean, if it were me, I absolutely would care about reactions, but...
Anyway!
Textless previews for ASM #36.
Erm. Anybody here care about Rek-Rap? Like, at all?

Rek-Rap was one of the only two things I enjoyed about Inferno 2: It’s Just Inferno It Is Literally Just Inferno Again
Forever liveblogging the AvengersInferno 2 would have had Peter getting bitten in the ribs by more stone gargoyle statues.
One Strip! One Strip!Because to some degree there is truth to people still paying for the book for say bile fascination and the like.
Need to deny them heavy attention and aim to books that hold appeal without outrage attention.😁
Misty? As in Misty Knight? When did she get fake magical children?
@Charles Phipps If it makes you feel any better, Roy, Donna and Dinah's kids are back. In fact, the current Birds of Prey run is about the team joining together to rescue Sin.
Ya know while I never did have much interest for Jessica Drew but I gotta commend how she's able to hold her own series pretty.
Especially when you compare her to Spider-Gwen who despite being far more well more known, can't seem to hold an ongoing anywhere. Meanwhile Jess's last Spider-Woman ongoing went up to the 20s.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

You should as I've always said the easiest way to understand comics is to understand wrestling.
They are cut from the same cloth as what inspired wrestling
Legit circus strong men and grapplers performing for worked fights for crowds with fake rivalries to generate interest.
Heck Spider-Man literally started off as a masked wrestler and stage performer with the Raimi movies brining in Macho Man Randy Savage for the wrestling origin.
