This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Dang it, Paul! Being useless against demons during Dark Web is one thing, but now he can't even follow simple driving advice? Talk about being Too Dumb to Live. At this point, not even Mysterio would want to disguise himself as Paul.
Okay, now Marvel is actively asking people to spam the Peter/MJ marriage at them. Because 90% of the tweets are literally that. (The other 10% happens to be Wiccan/Hulkling.)

The wedding was the only good part of trash event Empyre. Annnd was probably the only reason why trash event Empyre existed so it loses points

First previews of Spider-Boy
are out. Am I strange to say that I'm cautiously optimsitic about this? The art is solid and the action looks good. Just combine it with a solid emotional underpinning of Bailey's need to belong after being erased from memory and record while fleshing out his character, and we should have a winner.
I feel that is one of those Voodoo Shark explanations designed to make the plotline disposable.
"Mary Jane doesn't care about the dead kids because they were her 'chains' despite raising them for years."
Which, sure, the plot is one no one likes or wants to remember but it's silly. Why wouldn't Mary Jane care?
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Left seems generous. She was in another dimension and years passed.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.A dimension she trapped herself in against Peter's wishes and original plan to send her back because she trusted Paul more. Who she knew for about 5 minutes.
Then said Peter has "always been a mess" as one of the reasons why she's staying with Paul
Yeah no she just straight up left him for a guy guilty of genocide which she explains away as he feels really bad about it.

See this wouldn't hold more weight if Peter hasn't already died to spider totem nonsense with Morlun and just revived with organic webbing
Hell Kamala died and she just came back as a mutant.
What I'm saying is death has no meaning for high profile heroes like Peter.
So he should have just activated the teleported webbed it onto MJ's back and sent her home while Paul was telling him about boring rune lore.
MJ saying Peter had 'always been a mess' was a pay-off to a line set up at the end of Beyond before Rabin intruded, it was not MJ telling Peter he was such a mess that she couldn't be with him.
I'm not 'in denial', I'm observant. MJ and Paul have never been shown to be explicitly in love or happy around one another, the only time they've been happy is with the kids in the dimension, and the affection was all on them. Until a kiss or a declaration of love is made, all we have to rely on are recap page blunders and a compulsive liar in Nick Lowe. There is nothing there.

May I ask what the story motivation for them not being a couple is? I assume just to diminish the whole Paul plot's relevance?
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.@Red Hunter 543 Peter has done enough Spider Totem nonsense that in universe he's fed up with it and goes
"Oh fuck not another Spiderverse"
In fact Peter was about to send MJ back before Paul was stopping him with spiel about Totems and runes before they got ambushed.
So Peter thoroughly fed up with totem bs should have just webbed this guys mouth shut and sent MJ home as he deals with another Spider Totem event that may kill him or erase him from existence.
I just watched a Youtube review of the issue. It got top marks from the critic, who believes it to be Wells' best issue, this guy had spent many videos roasting the entire run up to this point. Perhaps he just likes that Peter is getting stuff done regardless of his corruption?
A minor correction from earlier 'leaks' Peter capturing Paul and taunting MJ doesn't appear to happen, just Pete bombing their car and Kafka confronting Peter, with Kraven being dug out by Norman
It's called villainous rizz aka The reason you see guys like Walter White, Madera, Thanos and Aizen have legions of fans.
People always flock to the guy that gets stuff done over the loser who is more moral.
Or to put it in Mike Tyson's words
"Everyone remembers the villain" and he was straight up quoting Apocalypse in post fight interviews.

If Spider-Man does throw Norman off a bridge, Charles called it.
