This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

How transferrable are Norman's sins?
In other news, the Christos Gage Spider-Man Unlimited "On the Spot" arc is still great fun. And arguably doing film/MCU synergy the right way - the Spot's never been a great Spider-Man villain, but Spider-Verse found a take on him that's worked, so why not embrace the Ret-Canon?
Meanwhile, Love Unlimited starts a Miles and Peter arc. Not like that. But Miles and Tiana are arguing due to different crime fighting approaches, and Peter is there to be the agony uncle and provide relationship advice. Yes, I know. But it's fun so far. Also, there is Doctor Bong. Apparently they've fought before, but I don't think I ever expected to see Spider-Man vs. Doctor Bong.
TIL that, much like The Killing Joke, Kraven's Last Hunt had a rerelease with very different coloring than the original book. (Notably, Kraven's eye colors changed from blue to reddish.)

The Protomen enhanced my life.
I think the originals do—there's something about pre-digital ink that makes everything pop, especially with the rain and bright colors. In the original the rain affecting the sky is a meld of blues and purples and browns but in the recoloring it's lines on a digitally-painted sky which doesn't give weight to the rain like the original did.
Also for some reason the recoloring made the piles of spiders green instead of grey.
Here's a comparison

The Protomen enhanced my life.Don't know if anyone's ready Spine-Tingling Spider-Man, but the antagonist of the comic is a guy named Paul who gained powers over dreams from eldritch beings singing a horrid nursery tune. Paul's existence threatens all of NYC by preventing anyone from sleeping (as anyone who falls asleep is at risk of having their dreams and life taken from them), tries to take away someone Peter loves (Aunt May), and haunts Peter by making him feel weak and helpless while depriving him of the sleep needed to fight crime effectively.
Does This Remind You of Anything?
I also read Miles' latest comic and man... if you didn't want to cut the guy's arm's off, maybe don't start with your new lightsaber powers, Miles?

If the Spider-Man Who Laughs mocks Paul for his dead kids in addition to killing Paul, it will be the best issue of this run ever.
That's not saying much
You jest, but it hit me recently that if I was in Wells' position, I would use this to actually cement Paul as someone who was Evil All Along.
How? By having Peter suss Paul into admitting that he knew the kids were fake from the start and he never told MJ about this because he didn't want her to leave him for Peter. The reason why he had that big "Nooooo!" in #26 was because he knew losing the kids meant losing MJ was inevitable. Worse, he lied about being tricked by his Rabin to salt his earth. Paul was in on it willingly.
MJ is, of course, livid about this and demands that Paul leave. He complies, but not before Peter sucker-punches him in the stomach.
And actually, if I wanted to be cruel, I could end the issue by having Peter just quit on MJ. After dealing with Paul, MJ tries to approach Peter to calm him down, but he stops her, saying that she was right earlier about how it's about responsibility and that he understood her. So right now, the responsible thing for him was to just forget about her, as she clearly had, while wondering out loud if he ever actually won the jackpot to begin with.
He starts to leave her, sardonically wishing her luck as the superhero Jackpot. MJ begs Peter to stop, but Peter has already spoken. He ends it on one last sting by telling her "don't call me again."
Peter leaves and MJ is, of course, heartbroken. She didn't just push Peter away. She broke him.
To be continued...
Wasn't MJ in an Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder situation where she was without Pete for years because of weird time magic stuff? I'm not sure I can consider that cheating tbh

I'm just assuming everybody in this run is actually a Space Phantom or something until proven otherwise.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks Marathon

Wells knows how much Spidey fans hates Paul so he's gonna give us the catharsis of seeing Evil Peter beating the hell out of Paul.
Only for Jackpot and Gold Goblin to stop him and say how this isn't him and Spider-Man should never kill in vengeance Yada Yada....
Paul caused a genocide ontop of literally cucking Peter after trapping MJ in a dimension with him. No amount of moral high ground will make me feel anything but bliss seeing Peter beat this guy to death.
