This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

On a better note, I found a series
of Spider-Man fan films called Peters Web that look really good!
I'd love to learn the history of Spider-Man fan films—there have been some
since the 60s!
EDIT: ooh, The Green Goblin's Last Stand is officially on YouTube
posted by the creators!

The Protomen enhanced my life.Zeb Wells has opened up the possibility for a Peter Norman sex scene. Finally. Just what the fans were asking for.

Over 400 variants in 33 issues? That's absolutely ridiculous. That averages to well over 10 variant covers per issue. That is just silly. It is a nonsensical number of variants. Why is Marvel putting such an obscene number of variants for ASM? Holy shit, tone it the fuck down, Marvel.
Worth noting it's not just ASM. Pretty much everything Marvel publishes gets lots of variants these days.
(First issue of Kieron Gillen's Eternals reboot got 76 covers back in 2021).
Aside from first issues, ASM gets more than any other series, but whether that's because it's the top seller or whether that's because they need to keep it the top seller is debatable.
Either way, someone must be buying them, and at least some are retailer-specific variants for particular comic shops.
Marvel are releasing 'Great Responsibility'-a book on parenting
, in May 2024
- Rule #276: Do not let Norman Osborn steal your children.
- Rule #277: If Norman Osborn does steal your children, do something about it and do not get distracted by rescuing aged aunts.
- Rule #278: Bonding small children to alien symbiotes is not ethical. And makes parenting much harder if it does happen.

Rule 279: Never under any circumstances bargain with a demon lord for the life of an elderly relative, even if the danger they're currently in is your own fault. It will erase the existence of your child (or your possible child) as yet another way to screw you over with the "deal".

For those who read it, what did you think of Felicia being a member of Heroes for Hire? Both the idea on paper and the execution of it?
I don't think she needed an established relationship with Misty and Colleen to be part of the roster. The concept is basically just recruiting any hero who is willing to work for money. I suppose it would have been nice if she developed an interesting rapport with Misty and Colleen but she didn't really have a dynamic with anyone else on the team. Which is a shame given her history.
First look at Superior Spider-Man Returns
, and introducing the new villain Supernova
At this point, I wouldn't doubt it. Maybe Otto had the clone body ready to go with a full upload of a copy of his mind just in case something happened to him during his superhero adventures, and its activation rigged to a dead-man's-switch that his Deal with the Devil ended up making him forget all about, causing there to be two Otto Octavii running around at once?

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryOh wow. I just found out that Zeb Wells is gonna be at my local Fan Convention this weekend.
Not that it matters. I won't be going due to a number of issues (money, how I'm getting there, etc), but it's nuts to think the guy most of us have been mouthing off will be in my city. I wonder if anyone will ask him about his choices during this run?
One Strip! One Strip!

Someone on a post of mine, pointed this out:
Norman has been taking the MJ role this entire run. Being the only person not blaming Peter for something that legitimately isn’t his fault. Knowing his secret and trying to be of help. Having shared grief about Gwen’s death. I am genuinely disturbed how none of us realized this sooner.
