This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I want it revealed Norman has been dead all along and this is all S Pidey hallucinating it.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Wait till they reveal the real MJ was Norman Osborn all along.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Spider-Man Reign MJ who didn’t die from radioactive semen but was quantum leapt universe to universe to put the image of Gwen fucking Norman in all Peters’ heads
Forever liveblogging the AvengersFunnigly enough. With Peter starting his villain role. I saw plenty of people actually like it when the first issue now arrived. Part of it is because man can be scary when he wAnts to be but Also it really moves away from miserable man. And he can now be stylish and cool for once.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I guess I'm in the same boat because the movie and games were my biggest Spider-Man stuff as a kid.
Shit like the PC Spider-Man, Ultimate Alliance, Spider-Man 2, 3, Web of Shadows, and Friend or Foe really made me want to be like Spider-Man.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Its why I really look down upon the Zeb Wells run with moments like Tombstone.
Tombstone is a tough bastard full stop but in wrestling terms it's supposed to be a competitive match between the two.
Not a one sided squash where Spidey is begging for mercy.
Spider-man on the PS 4 had the right idea with Tombstone and that's what makes Wells writing so infuriating beyond the cheating story with MJ or the terrible use of Black Cat.
Based on the reviews I've seen of Spider-Man lotus, it seems to be a strong example of why portraying a Surprisingly Realistic Outcome isn't necessarily a good thing. Of course if you take three people in their early twenties who are dealing with the recent murder of their friend while also having various other personal issues, they are going to deal with it badly and be dicks to each other but it doesn't make for a compelling story. And Peter trauma dumping to a ten year old kid with cancer doesn't help.

Amazing Spider-Man#33
Peter dons the black costume and goes after Kraven, Norman goes to check in on him and he's written almost like how Mary Jane normally would be back when they were together, all concerned and worrisome, it's kind of amusing. Anyway, Peter tracks down Kraven and drugs him, Kraven flees into the sewers where the Vermins attack him. Eventually Peter gets his hands on the Hunter, Kraven insists he is not the original and Peter's like 'you're close enough' and proceeds to bury Kraven in the grave, handing him a shotgun in case he wants to 'skip to the end'. Peter remarks it's been a mighty fine day
