This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Will Mj kick Peter's ass.
To continue how miserable he is. Like someone pointed out to me that he hasn't even been quiping and joking around like usually anywhere through this run.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Just saw a comics retailer newsletter
previewing ASM#35 and it tries reassuring readers that there is "still hope" despite the overwhelming negative feedback.
I’m getting Secret Empire vibes with this.
Not too coincidentally, it also has a story about a hero turning bad guy. Most people don’t think fondly of that aside from the foregone conclusions like Darth Vader.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"![]()
To be clear, this isn't an official statement by Marvel, but by Comic Book News.
But man, it still reeks of desperation of the "please like our book where our superhero just keeps getting his butt handed to him for really dumb reasons! Please please PLEASE!" variety.

There's nothing to realistically "hope" for anymore with ASM. Anything short of the current editorial being shown the door...and the "single loser" edict going with them. Otherwise it will just be more of the same endless misery we've been getting.

The good news is they haven't found an excuse to literally throw either of Peter's current love interests off a bridge.
One Strip! One Strip!Who is or are his current love interests?

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI doubt well get that. With how weirdly pathetic Peter has been through this run. Feel she'll kick his ass instead.
Also uh I don't like that costume. Feel she should have a variation of carnage like other media if they were going to go with this.

True but again Clone Saga which everyone agreed was horrible. So they blanked Spidey going Ike Turner on MJ out of their minds.
Speaking of which read "The Real Clone Saga mini series" and all I have to say is: Why wasn't this the original one?
Seriously trimmed all the unnecessary fat.
Got rid of the Norman faked his death twist.
Kept Mayday alive and Peter can retire as a family man.
Gave a satisfying answer to the whose the Clone nonsense. It doesn't matter they're both individuals with their own lives to live.

I really hope that's just symbolism for the cover and they don't actually give him a goblin mask in the comic proper
