This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

- given that goblin spiders
are actually a real thing, I'd be surprised if they didn't use that.
Unless they already have elsewhere?
Hate me if you want, but the Spider-Goblin story line sounds so awful yet oddly intriguing I might buy some issues out of curiosity.
It does help I have a soft spot for Goblins in mythology.
I think it would be unironically interesting to have an arc where Spider-Man turns evil and a villain has to play hero to stop him. But when it’s part of the most controversial run in recent memory, it feels malicious and clickbait.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Works better if it’s from the hero’s rogues gallery. Punisher has long since graduated.
Like if we were going for a lighthearted tone, I’d pick Mysterio to be the villain forced to play hero to save evil Spider-Man.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"You know @Redhunter 53 you make a good point. Current 616 I'd basically the bad guy won with Mephisto.
As the only one aware of his changes are Dr Strange (he's dead at the moment) and Deadpool.
If Marvel really wanted to they could have showed real ramifications to making a deal with Satan. A butterfly effect of sheer catastrophe because Peter gave up one specific day in his life.
Doctor Strange is definitely alive again. And I think Mephisto is now caged in the other-dimensional God Quarry, with an Avengers Alliance of Alternates keeping an eye on him.
So if they're ever looking for a good in-universe moment to fix things...
At this point I'd settle for Peter and MJ finding out what happened, cutting any remaining ties to Mephisto (admit it, MJ punching Mephisto in the face is a great image, isn't it? ) and regaining some vague memories of another branch of time.
No rollback that invalidates everything since then. No crystal clear set of memories that derails their current lives. But enough that they know they had that marriage once, and could possibly build it again.
Yeah, well don't write it that way,
Also, do these people assume marriage is magical or something? They've already lived together and had a child.
How is this different?

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.

I did see someone note we got terrible luck with this run.
Like spiderman is in a huge upswing in popularity. Insomaniac, spiderverse and no way home. That meant any run would have had an uptake in sales.
(Well tbf that and Bile Fascination. Marvel seems to be setting up spiderman hate read in to keep readers engaged)
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
