This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

The crossover between X-Men and Ultimate X-Men happened during the O5 in the future era. They crossed into the ultimate universe, with some of them meeting their counterparts, and Miles (who was still in that universe at the time).
Teen Jean and Ultimate Jean tried to read each other's minds....it didn't go well for either of them.
That's pretty much the story for anyone who fights the Hulk, except maybe Thor and Juggernaut...
...and the former has still had his losses.
Come to think of it, what's a character in Rhino's ballpark strength-wise?
I'm curious as to where he stacks up among both villainous and heroic bruisers.
One Strip! One Strip!Rhino is very much a Depending on the Writer character.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Regardless no where near as tough as say Juggernaut who Spider-Man had an entire underdog story dedicated to trying and stop the guy.
Honestly going by how they are portrayed in media it goes.
1. Hulk
2. Juggernaut
3. Colossus/Luke Cage
4. The Thing
5. Rhino

Man, the Thing has really dropped in the rankings. He used to be second only to the Hulk, more or less
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDan Slott revealed his fiancée is a red-head, and yes he made note of the irony.
He also said that anyone who wasn't OK with the current post-OMD 'editorial assignment' would not be permitted to work on ASM, but...wait, didn't Cebulski say something about there not being such a mandate over at Marvel? Has that changed now?
It's shifting the blame game.
Point is Marvel Comics don't want Spidey mature, happy and a family main in 616.
They'll throw a bone in elseworld stories.
But overall don't expect any character growth outside of the movies, games and animated series.
ie: Where the bulk of us first encountered Spidey.
Since Pete is a 60's character, it only feels fitting to quote a 60's song on how certain elements of editorial want him to be. A wanderer who will never settle down, going from girl to girl, happy as a clown, with two fists of iron.
Ironically it wasn't Pete who actually wandered around from town to town, but neither Ben nor Kaine were particularly while doing that.
He does great on the back foot
Reed once lied to him and said his whole family was dead to see if it would make him win a fight
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIf I ever wrote Spider-Man, I'd do something off the wall like have a story where he wakes up married to Jean DeWolfe or Yuri.
A joke about Carnage getting taken down by Snake Eyes occurs to me.

Apparently he's a supervillain named Plague
. He first appeared in a 2020 story, so he hasn't been around very long.

I'm trying to remember when the Ultimate X-men crossed over with the X-men. I wanted to re-read those.
Because they supposedly had some of the mutants pondering what it meant to be "just" more Super-Soldier products after Ultimatum had its big revelation that Magneto's entire philosophy was bullshit.
It's the only place we've gotten an alternate to the "Great Replacement Theory" X-men.
