This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

We had that with Spider-Girl and The Amazing Spider-Man Renew Your Vows.
Like I said before, part of the problem often is that readers who have some actual nostalgia with flagship titles are often unwilling to part with a decline title to try something else even an alternate continuity line or licensed title.
Archie Mega Man for example was the perfect opposite to a standard badDC New 52 title.
Able to have serious moments without being at the cost of joy, and the lead character well being a hero even in the two crossovers he was in.
Wait. Both Peter and Matt dated Felicia. If they were to hook up, would that make Felicia the Mako of this equation?

Like Go Down Swinging actually made him a compelling character IMO after years of not doing anything good with him after an unwanted resurrection.
Then Nick Spencer went NOPE so he could retcon Sins Past.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Fair trade
Though we wouldn't need to do that if
A) Quesada didn't interfere with JMS' original Sins Past story with Peter as the father.
B) Quesada didn't throw out JMS' original OMD plan where Sins Past was retconned with Gwen and Harry revived.
So as usual I blame Quesada.

I don’t see how it was essential to have Harry dead, clone, and computer to retcon sins past
That was a decision. To throw away post OMD Harry
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's a shame because they brought back Harry to recapture those days of Peter and his friends hanging around from the Romita-Lee era, so not doing anything with him on that front. Heck Go Down Swinging actually brought back that angle of an abuse victim finally finding the courage to tell his abuser to fuck off and then turns out Harry was being tortured in hell all this time.
Does Peter have any friends outside of his superhero work?
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Yeah, but like he also knows Peter is Spider-Man.
Shouldn't he have some friends who like him for being Peter or something? Someone he can shoot the breeze with unrelated to super hero work.

His plan was for Harry to go into rehab, meaning he got help, Norman never went insane, and Gwen didn't die.
Not anymore Marvel decided his supporting cast are better off being superheroes/villains. Probably because they can't make enough new hero characters as popular as the Spidey side characters.
Ned Leeds (Because of editorial spite)
Gwen Stacy now Spider Gwen in Earth 65 and her many clones
Flash Thompson Agent Venom/Anti Venom
Normie's got a symbiote
MJ because Zeb Wells
Then we got the what ifs of Betty Brant, JJ, Aunt May and Uncle Ben becoming Spider-Man.
I have that one.
Macendale lost that so badly.
Another in the list of reasons why Kingsley came out of hiding to kill that idiot.
One Strip! One Strip! This has nothing to do with anything, but for a while now I wondered if Peter could rig up a small flamethrower to his suit, activated by moving his fingers in a slightly different way than how he shoots webs. So the enemy is expecting web, and gets a face full of fire.
Mostly as an anti-Symbiote weapon. Probably be too dangerous to carry around, let alone use, for normal hero activities.

If they ever did a What If...? or alternate universe setting with those two as happy, well-adjusted husbands I suspect fandom would love it. Even if it was just them being domestic and soppy. No, wait, especially if it was domestic and soppy.
