This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Forever liveblogging the AvengersStumbled on some scans from the ASM annual are on twitter
The advance leak a few days ago was largely accurate, save for a few bits. The murderous Orchid-drugged Aunt Anna is defeated by sleeping pills, but they weren't hers. They were M Js'. She's been taking them due to anxiety. Paul does ask if the mutants were behind this, but Peter doesn't call him out on the racism, he just answers what he thinks is a fair question. Lastly MJ and Paul don't hold hands (they share an umbrella and that's it). Throughout the early bits of the story, MJ is actively flirting with Peter while Paul notes it's the happiest he's seen her in a long while...meaning even he couldn't cheer her up.

I think it’s a fair question to ask if the mutant drugs from mutant island turning people into rage monsters is a mutant caused problem. If aspirin made people vomit blood, I’d yell at big pharma. It’s called yelling at the source.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell if it can’t deliver quality, may as well reach memetic levels of bad
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMaybe it’s quietly bowing to fan outrage, maybe it was just courting controversy hate reads to begin with
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe comic story itself never claimed they were married, did it? It crept into a recap or something by mistake.
Which sounds like a plausible editorial error, as that's unlikely to be from Wells. And is the sort of thing that often gets less scrutiny + is potentially farmed out to an assistant to write.
(Same issue magazines and newspapers keep having with headlines and subheading/intros, which are rarely by the same person as everything else)
It seems like Quesadian Loophole Abuse.
"Listen, Spiderman being married makes him too old but not if he lived with a woman for years and had a baby!"
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Given what a complete dud everything involving Paul has been...it's not too much of a shock that they're phasing him out as quickly as possible now. He and his kids were created for the sole purpose of being the obstacle. There's only so long characters created with such a purpose can last. Just look at his kids...oh..we can't because they faded from existence issues ago.

No, remember, they did bother naming the kids... then forgot those names and gave them different names by accident... then awkwardly pulled "uh, those were their middle names" out of their asses.
