This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Yeah, there were far more dignified ways Spider-Man and Green Goblin could team up.
Like the new Superman run has Lex and Superman teaming up in a way that makes sense for both their characters and comes off as a natural evolution of their dynamic since Lex at this point has come to accept that the world needs Superman but wants it to be HIS Superman.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I really don't have any positive feelings toward redeeming Norman from his Dark Reign Complete Monster status.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.@Joshbones Its hard to not internalize it when in Superior Spider-Man Otto himself realizes
"Peter Parker could have killed me at any time" when he punches off Scoripion's jaw off.
Then later goes onto wreck the Vulture for using child labor
Or Peter beating King Pin within an inch of his life for getting Aunt May shot
Or the simple fact all his rogues immediately start panicking when Spidey stops talking.
Like Spider-Man not knowing his own strength goes way back even to the old Japanese manga adaptation where that Spider-Man accidentallykills his version of Electro with one punch.
For Osborn I say Peter having anything less than "on site" mentality for the man that killed his "lover, brother, daughter and friend" is absurd. Some folks just need killing and Norman is up there with the likes of Bullseye.

The Kingpin thing is fine because Peter stopped fighting Fisk after college and you can just extrapolate he got stronger over time. (Also he got an increase in power by The Other but nobody talks about that)
The Scorpion thing is also explainable. Over time, people just kind of assumed all his power was in his suit, when initially, Stillwell's experiment was responsible for his power, and all the suit did was give him the mechanical tail. Peter being able to break his jaw is just a sign of that, he was not holding back when they fought for the first three or so decades, because Gargan was legit stronger back then.
Yeah thematic vs power scaling.
Problem is its like wrestling.
You can say X beats Y
But if Y has been booked like a jobber for years aka the Vulture and suddenly has X, the face of the company, crying for help from his former enemy, fans are gonna call bs on your storyline and say the booker/editor needs to be fired.
What I'm saying is Zeb Wells is a lot like Vince Russo.
Tombstone makes sense because it's established multiple times he a tough bastard to even hurt. But one thing again Spider-Man should never beg for mercy.
It makes the hero look weak and pathetic.
Even Spectacular Spider-Man knew that and it was a young teen Peter getting his first ass kicking. Onto of Tombstone constantly guiling his way out of situations till Spidey finally webbed him up to CPT Stacy.

Tbh if vulture got some upgrade or something you would think they would give h in to explain it (even the ymmv page says no. That didn't happen because it's the first thing you think off).
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."

Wasn’t Vulture one of the first supervillains that really gave Spider-Man trouble?
