This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Marvel releasing a few prose What If... branded novels in 2024
. One of them is about Wanda and Peter being siblings
Didn't it fall apart in another book?
Its hard to have a relationship between books, with different writers
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHuh the loki book author looks like weird choice. Madeleine Roux is a gothic horror author. You know like either asylums or regal Victorian Dresses mixed with people getting killed in over the top ways.
That premise is....different than what she normally does.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."![]()
There was an X-Men story where in the future, Spider-Man broke Kitty out of some kind of interdimensional prison and it was implied they were still dating.
I forgot the exact context.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"
For a hot second, I thought you said Superior was getting canceled. But no, it's just the adjective-less Spider-Man book.
I think I figured as much because it sounded like Slott was canning adjective-less Spider-Man for Superior Spider-Man.
But how we get from Evil Doc Ock in Doc Ock body to Doc Ock in Spider-Body is anybody's guess.

Yeah I remember it was a scene of adult Spider-Man saving Kitty Pryde and the other X-Men from some kind of jail in a pocket dimension and it was mentioned in this site as well.
I saw the bit on the Marvel database. I'll get back to you on that one.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Over on instagram, Ryan Stegman is promoting his upcoming Marvel Age#1000 story and confirmed he'll be doing a lot more writing going forward. I guess Marvel were impressed with his work on Hulk after Donny Cates left abruptly. Some people are already speculating he's taking over from Zeb Wells on ASM.
It was. And his issues, based on Cates' arc plot, were ok.
Stegman's written some spider-stuff and one-offs over the years, but iirc never an ongoing series.
Personally, I think Marvel would be very reluctant to give a high-profile ongoing title for their top-selling character to someone with no track record of runs on other ongoing books.

The current New Mutants series is centered around a will-they-won't-they romance between trans woman Escapade and cis woman Martha, for example.
The Spider-books don't have the same level of representation - possibly because most of the leads have historically been straight guys. But you've still got Silk's best friends, a lesbian couple who recently married, and other examples.
As for the MCU, let's see how it goes. I'd expect more representation on television than in film, but I think it'll keep increasing in both.
