This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

My headcanon has always been that Infinite takes place in a different universe than the other games (for as much as there is any sort of canon for the MvC games), one where the X-Men just flat-out don't exist. Because if they did, then where the fuck were they when all the story stuff was happening? I mean, besides Perlmutter jail, obviously, but where were they on a non-meta level.

in a very x men move they were probably doing their own crossover at that time or stuck in an alternate world where love is illegal
Ultimate Invasion#1 Designates the new Ultimate Universe, or at least the world The Maker visits after leaving 616, as Earth 6160. On this World, Peter Parker exists and appears to be 'friends' with Liz Allan (who might be a totes tsundre), the spider doesn't bite him in this world though as it's intercepted by someone

And by 'someone' we mean The Maker.
Further spoilers for #1: I did like the Maker's conversation with Miles earlier in the issue. Lots of grand "we are the sole survivors, we are the heirs to gods" stuff (paraphrased), ending with a "did you know that?". Miles, rather calmer, points out that, yeah, he knew that. And?
Slott actually managed to make Bailey the Spider-Boy pretty likeable over in "Edge of Spider-Verse", you feel and root for him. He's also willing to open up to strangers if he finds them trusting. While we learn his full name, Bailey Briggs, we discover he had a photo of his mother which was erased when he was, so we don't see her. And he's a red head!
Honestly...making Peter officially a villain would be the completion of the character degradation started with OMD. He made a selfish deal with the Devil...and all of the characters have been the absolute worst versions of themselves ever since. The fall to the darkside would finally be complete.

I can see a scenario where Peter would soak up the sins to stop Norman falling to the dark side again. Or to protect the resurrected Dr. Kafka. Because putting himself in the way to protect others is very much what he does.
Whether it'd be written in a way that makes it a decent story is another matter.

There isn't a Parker Industries left for Ben to take over. It was completely dissolved and its assets sold off after Peter was forced to completely destroy Webware (the system that all of PI's products and services were built off of) in order to stop Otto from using PI's tech to help HYDRA!Cap during that whole "Secret Empire" debacle. Maybe Ben could end up somehow acquiring the rights to the name, but that's about all he'd have.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's Dictionary

I've got three hypotheses as to how this Continuity Snarl might still be able to make sense in-canon.
my preferred explanation is that nothing in spider-verse is canon
