This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Speaking of Assassin Spidey, I will say, I actually prefer him over Punisher Spidey, at least this one has an actual reason to start killing besides a costume change.
Granted, I also wish MJ was with him. She's pretty good with a shotgun.
I think Assassin Spidey's girlfriend is dead. His Wolverine def is.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I’m more pro-Slott than most but I agree some of the alternate Spideys’ deaths verged on spiteful. Hostess Universe in particular - he dies because his pastries fail to work on Morlun, even though the rules of him universe are that pastries always work.
Admittedly Morlun is from a different universe, so maybe he’s not bound by the rules of the universes he visits?
It would have been hilarious if the pastries did work on Morlun and he got pissed and left
Forever liveblogging the Avengersre: MvC-Spidey's death being ignored by Capcom with Infinite:
I've got three hypotheses as to how this Continuity Snarl might still be able to make sense in-canon.
1. The kid playing the game popped in some more quarters, which brought Capcom-verse Spidey back independently of the other Spiders that Morlun killed and consumed (who would all have to wait until he got stabbed with the cursed dagger in End of the Spider-Verse). All hail The Almighty Quarter Dollar!
2. Infinite doesn't share the same universe as the other Capcom crossovers, so that particular Spidey never encountered Morlun. Though this is not supported by Fandom's Marvel wiki, which does claim that Infinite is in the same universe. Not sure if there's an official source claiming that they do share the same universe as X-Men vs. Street Fighter to Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
3. Time-space shenanigans between universes ensured that from the kid's perspective, all the Spiders that Morlun killed came back (as mentioned above) just after he stopped playing the game.
No matter which of them (if any) is true, that kid is going to spend a lot of time and quarters in vain to fight the secret character "Morlun" again, and he'll spend much of his life trying to convince other fighting game fans that Morlun isn't just some Urban Legend of Zelda that he made up.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's Dictionary@Red Hunter 53 Alex, Assasin Spidey's gf is still alive because he knocked her out after Karn incinerated Wolverine.
Assasin knew he was the target so no point in her getting killed.
Wolverine probably still alive as Marvel is never consistent on if incineration will kill him
Days of Future Past? Dead
Civil War? Tis but a flesh wound and he's healed up
Also funny Across the Spider-Verse ignoring the comics "dead" spiders where we see Unlimited Spidey safe and sound

Nah for the simple reason Noir is alive in ITSV when he died unceremoniously in Spider Geddon which was made to promote the movie.
Plus Peter B. Parker is designated as 616 Spidey who's story went in every direction the main comics were afraid to do so.
Aunt May passing away.
Peter and MJ divorcing like normal people then getting back together.
Mayday being born.
All while pushing 40.
The movies may reference the classic comics but clearly stopped paying attention to them around the JMS time frame while for the Ultimate stuff only grabbed Miles' story and Green Goblin's more monstrous design.

You’d think radiation would be a counter to Wolverine since radiation poisoning damages the body’s ability to heal and even damages the DNA. But I’m pretty sure Wolverine has walked off radiation exposure.
I know for a fact that Laura Wolverine has, as recent as Captain Marvel 47

With a few exceptions, of course.
I seem to remember one character - the appropriately named Achilles (not that one, but also descended from one of the MU's gods) - who was completely invulnerable, but discovered that gamma radiation cancelled his powers.
Naturally, he discovered this due to the Hulk.

On the plus side. They did retcon the amazing friends spiderman death thing. Thankfully.
