This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Frank has, in fact, killed many cops over his career.
Which is why the speech where he lectures them fell flat. He would have beaten the crap out of them or killed them.
The entire Netflix show is also about Frank versus an evil Private Military Contractor company.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Or even by accident. There's been reports of Marvel writers pitching such a story to editors and the editors turning them down.
That's how he debuted.
The issue is that Frank's debut story makes it clear he only went after Spider-Man because he thought Spider-Man was a villain. If not for the Jackal deceiving him, he'd have left him alone and that's exactly what he does when he realizes Spider-Man is innocent.
If Conway wanted to show Frank as a villain, he did a lousy job of it. It's why some have difficulty taking his condemnation of the Punisher seriously.

I think they should flat out address it. "Yes, Frank kills an innocent. Feels bad about it. Ends up getting over it because he's an awful person."
Frank has murdered friends for almost no reason after all and has killed a few innocents under mind control.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. As far as I'm aware, the only friend he's killed is Microchip and that was after the latter underwent a Face–Heel Turn.
Yes, he was involved in the CIA's drug smuggling and Frank decided to kill him for it.
He also killed Microchip's replacement after he killed his girlfriend under Hatemonger's power.
But point taken.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Jigsaw was the one who killed Rampage (not that it stuck) but Frank probably would have killed him had their fight not been continually interrupted by Skrulls.
Slott can actually write well, and he has 10 years working on Spider-Man for a reason.
It's just that he overstayed his welcome with dumb shit like Parker Industries.
Superior at least got rid of 616 Pete for a bit, and we did indirectly get RYV because of it.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Spider Boy is an okay concept as long as he doesn’t overstay his welcome like Sentry
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah but thats just one interpretation of the character and there are ones where he was a relatively decent family man who only snapped when he lost them.
Which from what I recall is mostly on Ennies for portraying Frank as more of a total psychopath in it for his own bloodthirst.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Actually, "Frank is honestly a psychopath and was always a terrible person" dates back to the Punisher: War Journal depictions of him in Vietnam.
If I wanted to read the Frank Castle Deconstruction with his resurrected wife, where would I start?
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.

Marvel's issue is that they are unwilling to pull the trigger on the story that will easily make Frank more palatable.
Just have him go after cops, treating them with equal contempt as no different than criminals.
Boom, at least he's going after the right guys there.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
