This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

That's...not the worst idea I've ever heard.
Admittedly, I'm saying that partially because I like the idea of one of Peter's sidekicks being this egotistical little shit that just is Otto, more or less, that secretly looks up to him and wants his approval.
Can't wait for his life to become unending misery, though, like every other clones.

Considering Slott created Spider-Boy, I wouldn't be surprised if he is related to Otto in some form.
Hell, this is just a repeat of Steel Spider but with clones if true.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"A little more on the Superior relaunch from those who attended Philly Comic Con (Slott had a panel where the news was first announced and then made public)
The Superior Spider is indeed going to be Otto, and it appears to be what Ock is going to do next, Slott confirmed he came up with his current Electro storyline to buy Zeb enough time to tell his own Doc Ock story

On a riffing on multiverse stuff, thinking about how inherently flawed the concept of the whole Miles-verse and Gwen-verse stories are
Its like sure a lot of the spiders in Spider-Verse are variants of Peter Parker, they are ultimately variants of Spider-Man. So it varies a lot there, whether it be a version of Peter Parker heavily changed (Noir, cyberpunk Peni Parker) to completely different people donning the mantle (Miguel is not an alternate version of Peter)
Which winds up highlighting the issues with the Miles and Gwen-verse stories. They don't make enough changes with the characters so it winds up just being Miles and Gwen cosplaying as other superheroes instead of fun variants like Noir Spider-Man or medieval knight Spider-Man.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'll forever thank Nick Spencer for that.
I do, sincerely, without the sarcasm. "Sin's Past" may have been overshadowed by OMD as the worst Spider-Man story of all time but it's still nice to be gone and I don't kink shame Mysterio and Norman.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Much like Riddler the Private Detective, I'd read the shit out of Mysterio and Mary Jane doing movies.
And did.
That comic should have lasted forever.
I like silly villains enough that I'm sad they retconned Kraven in Squirrel Girl too.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Or in one case, an absurdly racist caricature pretending to be Miles cosplaying as Thor.
No, I still haven't forgotten; what the fuck even was that comic?!
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI mean, in the case of Gwenverse the other Gwens were temporal duplicates created from Gwen's personality, they weren't supposed to be drastically different.
Though even then, they still felt more different than what happened with Miles as other heroes.
The only actual alternate Gwen Spider-Gwen has met is Earth-617 Gwen, who is more like 616 Gwen and Nightbird, who is basically batgirl.

I mean, I'm sure we'll see more from him now but Marvel has always been a bit more free with exchanging and switching around Rogues than DC. Kingpin went from being a Spider-Rogue to a Daredevil-Rogue but he's still played huge roles in many Spider-Man stories and recently Devil's Reign.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.
×2
Supposedly they are clones of Gwen and the Sinister Six from the 616. They do not explain why the 616 Sin Six were in earth 65 in the first issue, they just show up so they main villain could get their genetic material.
I do like how Vulture Gwen looks though, Peach Momoko did an amazing job with that design.
At least Gwenverse acknowledged the earth 65 variants of Gwen. Like how she said that Gwenverine was her as Mr Murderhands, whichbis what her Logan is called.

Nah @Targetmaster Joe Sp Ock was fun in a old comics weird one shot way especially showing first hand how dangerous Spider-Man's powers can be with someone with little moral compass.
It just brought up issues like how in the hell did no one but Carlie Cooper and Norman Osborn know it wasn't Peter in their.
Like Norman I can get the man is obsessed with Peter to the point he wanted him to be his son/successor. But not his friends like Johnny Storm, MJ or even Aunt May.
Plus anything is better than Zeb Wells' Paul saga.
