This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

No, that's definitely a thing. The need for constant escalation ends up making some stories feel less important. A more personal story where no one would be affected other than the characters involved can end up feeling vastly more tense and exciting than "OMG the multiverse is in danger again!"

Or have a "compromise" with Morlun being The Dragon to the main villain.
It makes as much sense as anything else.

Nah as much as I hate Morlun I ain't having him play second fiddle to the homeless bum Rabin (legit had to look up his name).
Only way I'd accept that if Morlun pulls a Starscream at the last moment kills Rabin and Paul the reveals the kids were his vampire clones in disguise and go right back to running the hands with Peter and the other Spider people as MJ just looks flabbergasted in the corner.
@Red Hunter 53 Never forget this all happened because Rabin, a forgettable villain from one issue back in the 2000s, appeared high on magic and teleported Peter & MJ to another dimension where Paul was the only adult male alive.

I bet the kids are pieces of Mephisto and Rabin will replace his hands with them
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm waiting for the reveal Paul is Mephisto. Because we literally know nothing about this guy besides
Conveniently the only man in the dimension Peter & MJ were trapped in.
Super smart, strong and capable against Rabin more than Spider-Man for some reason
MJ falls in love with him while constantly saying how much happier she is with him than ever was with Peter while acting like it was his fault they split up.

Already too late for that considering MJ miscarried Mayday back in the clone saga
So unless they have some brand new Spider time travel event that fixes not only OMD but Clone Saga Mistskes:
Letting Ben Reiley stay a hero
Sticking with May's original death
Making Mayday's miscarry never happen
MJ and Peter staying married
Norman staying DEAD.
Doubt we will see Mayday in 616
I'll never get Marvel's logic they try desperately to make the next great female hero yet they ignore Spider Girl who was that.
She had the longest comic run of any female hero in Marvel.

Are we talking post OMD retcon?
Because originally it was a fake miscarriage and Norman had the baby shipped off to comic book limbo

Forever liveblogging the AvengersAlthough… with Norman being a Good Boy now, if Mayday was still alive somewhere and he just didn’t mention it, that’s a big dick move. Also a dick move not to confess his involvement to new best pal Peter
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMayday is why I say Norman should never be forgiven let alone redeemed.
Mayday in 616 might as well be dead. Yeah the intent was the baby got kidnapped by the nurse but Editorial would jump off a bridge than admit Peter has a kid in 616.
So stillborn Mayday is all we have in the main continuity.
If Mayday is still alive in 616 after all the OMD nonsense God that just makes Wells run even worse as MJ is playing mom to kids who aren't hers while her kidnapped daughter is being raised by a con woman.

I remember hearing something about the Carnage symbiote identifying as a girl at one time. Maybe it was after giving birth to Toxin?
