This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Except for like the x men most teen and younger superheroes aren’t child soldiers. They’re child vigilantes.
That’s a joke but also I don’t think it’s helpful to conceive of the task of superheroing being the same as soldier most of the time
It does get muddled because there’s a lot of militaristically leaning superheroes. But by and large superheroes aren’t soldiers even if Captain America calls everyone he interacts with “soldier”
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell, in most cases these kids get powers, and actively choose to use them to try and use them to help people, independent of Adults.
So I guess you could call them volunteer do gooders instead.
One Strip! One Strip!
The solution to that is just, y'know, not have the kids interact with Carnage or the Joker. Put the kids in another city, one that doesn't have so many horrible villains. Put them in Portland, or Albany, or Chicago. They can have vacations in New York so they can team up with Spider-Man. Otherwise, they're just having their own adventures.
The kid hero thing worked for Power Pack back in the '80s (and in the various alternate-continuity minis they've had in the past 20 years). And Power Pack actually was based out of New York for part of it. They tied into the Mutant Massacre! And Fall of the Mutants, where Julie accidentally killed Pestilence.

Peter receives a boost to his Spider-Sense that enables him to 'sense' everyone in the city. Meanwhile, Bailey the Spider-Boy is frustrated as he can find no evidence of having previously existed in this world, nobody knows who he is, he also has a specific connection to Peter through his own spider-sense, he is able to recall Peter's most recent actions in the issue and has second sight on what's about to happen to him. Bailey believes Peter is in trouble and that he will have to get him out of trouble 'again' as he always ends up fixing everything for Peter
New marvel.com article
on the "finale" arc of Spider-Verse Unlimited.
So it looks like that may be cancelled/ending in a month or so. Shame.
The Peter and Miles stuff in it has been fun, but where else are we going to get stories about Noir and the rest? Although I guess this may be wrapping up because the Spider-Verse print anthologies are becoming a recurring thing.
The Insomniac Gamerverse Spider-Man
is back for Free Comic Book Day. Lots of Peter/MJ relationship content in it too judging by the synopsis.
Cult of Carnage: Misery is out and... it's not bad at all. Liz is still dealing with all the things Harry left behind, as well as the symbiote research that's definitely not going to go wrong. First issue is mostly set-up and Liz as Liz, so it'll be #2 before we properly meet Misery.
I think Pirzada's done more MCU scripting (Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel) than comics, but based on this he's pretty good. (I think he did the Ms. Marvel Dark Web mini too?)

This year's Amazing Spider-Man annual
ties directly into the developments of the Hellfire Gala and sees Janine, aka Hallow's Eve, break into the mutant embassy to rescue Chasm.

Crimson Spider? Cherry Red Spider? Magenta Spider?
I'm reading through Dark Web and it occurs to me: does Jonah know Peter has clones? It seems like every time you reveal your secret identity to someone new, you probably forget to fill them in on some details. Like, "I have at least two clones" or "Vulture accidentally killed my aunt's boyfriend" or "Remember when my aunt died? That was actually just a very convincing actress who fooled everyone and my aunt was actually kidnapped by the Green Goblin."

And just like that, after weeks of worrying about 'unfaithful' she ended up being, Mary Jane is off the hook. She was forced to 'accept her chains' via a curse put upon her by Benjamin Rabin preying to the gods of his dimension in order to elevate him to godhood...but she is apparently fated now to die so he can achieve this
The more I hear about this run, the happier I am that I stopped bothering to read Spider-Man after Beyond. And that arc wasn't good either, I just wanted to see how it played out.
