This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

JMS got bitten by a Spider
in real life recently. God telling him something maybe?
Reintroducing Flexo the rubber man from 1940s Timely Comics
So, reimagining a rubber robot man from the 1940s into a symbiote animating an inanimate rubber suit? Or whatever is actually going on because it's actually kinda unclear? That's actually pretty bananas.
Oh, thank Christ for Jed MacKay trying his hardest to make the best possible lemonade with the really bad lemons he was dealt with. I thought it was a matter of time for someone to lecture MJ about pushing Peter away. Even if Felicia doesn't have all the details. (And neither do we, but...)
And rather curious how Paul still doesn't have any space in MJ's train of thought. MacKay is probably more privy about the deeper workings of Wells' plot than we are.
Yeah, 99.9% of these "big deaths" are a fake-outs and I don't think we haven't seen anything that makes this particular "big death" an exception so far...
Not to mention by all accounts she would have died if Peter and MJ had said no to Mephisto anyway.
Mmmmm. Not sure if Marvel really would pull the trigger. Because wouldn't killing Aunt May mean Peter has to acknowledge being an actual adult, which contradicts what Marvel Comics wants out of him?
Well, Mephisto's out of the picture for a while - so it's probably the safest time to make it stick.
Ohhhhh man, don't give us hope. (Keep giving us hope.)

Well, the MCU has been steering the comics in various ways for a while now.
Spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home: And Aunt May was killed off there, and will presumably stay dead, so...
I guess JMS is the new Spider-Totem of Earth-1218. Whoda thunk it?
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI meant in his original Crisis appearance where he’s some kid from the real earth who gets Superman powers when THE REAL EARTH is destroyed in the crisis
Forever liveblogging the AvengersTo Marvel's credit, they've never directly touched 1218 in a story to help preserve the illusion that it's literally our world. DC's insisting that Earth-Prime was that kinda fell flat as soon as it was introduced with its own Superboy.

spoiler
Looks like set up for the Spider-Man's Last Hunt storyline, and Peter ticks off the Harambe faithful knocking out a drugged gorilla
Interview with Dan Slott
about Peter's status quo going forward under his pen, plus artwork from the upcoming arc and more on Bailey
Peter will retain the memories of his 'normal' life from End of Spider-Verse, which compels him to build towards being a better Spider-Man and experiments on himself to boost his powers
Plus more stories with Aunt May, Jameson, and Norman, so yeah, that says it right there the big death isn't any of those three

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

Not to mention by all accounts she would have died if Peter and MJ had said no to Mephisto anyway.
