This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Going back a page, I would disagree that Slott wrote Silk as "incompetent." As I recall, Slott actually made her kinda over-competent, and it was her solo run that toned that down and made her kind of a screw-up.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I am unsure if Spider-Boy really has any longevity even if he were theoretically written by a non-Slott writer.
Like we have Miles for a younger spider-person so that niche has already been filled for a long while now. At most Spider-Boy contributes to the continuing cast bloat of the spider-characters.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Sentry, Jessica Jones... Silk, maybe?
Although apart from Jessica's Avengers interactions, she has very little impact on the past. Silk, as I understand it, fits in without any real need for retcons.
Adam Brashear's in the same category, as his career was decades before the current crop of heroes and doesn't necessitate rewrites.
Unless a particular creator champions them until they get a following (e.g. Jones) or they're so powerful and cool that nobody can bear to ignore them (e.g. Sentry), they'll just vanish.
(The Union retrospectively introduced Britannia as a famous and beloved British champion alongside Captain Britain - and I don't expect anyone to mention her again for years, if not decades)
The one exception is the X-Men's Xabi, Forget-Me-Not, who was part of the team all along - but his mutant power means nobody ever remembers him. That take on it's actually funny (and a thinly veiled Take That!) when not being bleakly Played for Drama.

J.M De Matties was announced as the writer of the Magneto mini-series, and he has no other Spidey projected slated for this year, but he said on his blog that there will be more Spidey books from him in 2024.
Random question, but has there ever been a What If? where Spider-Man used the actual costume-repairing machine in Secret Wars instead of getting a symbiote?
The Protomen enhanced my life.Mary Jane/Black Cat concludes today.
Felicia does call out MJ's distance from Peter, pointing to their history and that they were only gone six months, but MJ is quick to correct her and say it's been longer than that, then when reunited with the kids, she says she doesn't want to be separated from them again which points very much to something of the sort happening by ASM#26.
Also worth noting is MJ seems to care more about the kids than she does Paul
Doesn't look a day older, but if the kids thing is legit, then yes.
I still think it's a fake-out though, or the kids were conceived through other means. Given what she says here, I have my own theories about Amazing Spider-Man#26, in that The big death probably isn't MJ, likely Aunt May or something, but Peter's actions will separate MJ from her children

It helps that Venom came at the right time.
