This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

To say nothing of what they did to Moira.
Getting back to Spider-Man, I recall someone pointing out that at one point, they killed the entirety of Peter’s supporting cast, barring MJ, who we now know they would kill if they could.
One Strip! One Strip! That post last page had a funny reply
that edited Bailey into Spider-Man: Reign.

Understatement of the decade in terms of comics.
Seriously, how are these editors not freaking out like Leo DiCaprio in the bathroom
over pics like that? These editors are smearing Spider-Man's name, social media is making fun of them and (rightfully) calling them hypocrites, and they're still just chugging along.
What kind of inhuman resilience is this?
With luck, he'll have to go because his people need him, but then he dies on the way to his home planet.
But seriously, there's that BS about the "Fallen Friend". I'd like for Paul to be the Fallen Friend so there can be much rejoicing, but Bleeding Cool is positive that the Fallen Friend is going to be
a certain redhead and they showed evidence with how the covers of ASM #25 and #26 look an awful lot like Spider-Man: Blue #2 and ASM #121 and...
...Goddamn it, I just can't unthink it.

The Protomen enhanced my life.![]()
Not...really? Apparently his origin story will show up in a future issue of Edge of Spider-Verse. As for why we're all making fun of him already, apparently it's because he's like The Sentry or Voyager, a brand-new super-powered being who insists that they have been with the heroes long ago, but the heroes can't remember due to shenanigans. (Though Voyager turned out to be a sham.)
I think this
is the one?

The Voyager thing was handled better than if it had been legit, I think. But because of the example of the Sentry where an Avenger that's been forgotten is pretty plausible so that its a trick hoax comes off as a good twist
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRE: MJ's possible death, the "in 50 years" stands out to me cause Gwen's death was in July 1973, almost 50 years ago.
The Protomen enhanced my life.At least with Sentry that was confined to its own separate mini-series away from everyone
But this thing with Spider-Boy its smack dab in the middle of a Spider-Man ongoing. Its there now, and because this is a franchise that never truly forgets anything that means he is a permanent addition to the characters lore.
Sure he might get phased out in a couple years but he might come back in 15 years for an anniversary story and God forbid nostalgia.
I actually don't remember Alpha. Who even is that?
Man, I'd kill for them to announce Wells' run as ending already. Because Spider-Comics are aggravating.
Alpha seemed okay to me. He was only around for a few issues before Peter depowered him for being a dick

X-Men in particular is rather infamous for the fact that most of the non-mutant supporting characters have largely vanished in recent decades. Stevie Hunter the dance teacher, Trish Tilby the reporter, the Braddocks' friends from British Intelligence (except the ones that are also mutants), etc.
