This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I liked Lily Tomlin's Unfazed Everyman May in Spider-Verse a lot.
It's come to light that two unknown Marvel creatives recently pitched retcons of OMD to Marvel, but were turned down. They were interviewed and they claimed the reasons for this were
1. Several of the in house staff at editorial are not married themselves or don't have a strong opinion on it. They believe the thing makes Spider-Man not just too old, but 'lame'
2. They don't want to give the fans a victory and thus give them further reasons to be entitled and demand even more. These writers did argue however that OMD being undone would be huge for sales.
So I wonder who those writers were? I know Slott has boasted a couple of times of pitching OMD retcons to fans at conventions, and that led ultimately to Renew Your Vows, and Spencer was clearly on his way to doing something too...but maybe others are stepping up?
The current Gwenpool Love Unlimited arc (by Jeremy Whitley) certainly has some views on this.

heh, universe reset is too D Cy, it's kinda both a Take That! and Take That Us
Anyone can say something was said “in confidence.”
If it is true, though, I actually kinda get that second reasoning. Superhero comic fans can be Entitled Bastards par excellence.
Welp, Slott's new character got leaked
Spider-Boy. An official one for Marvel that's not tied to DC/Amalgam
And to rub it in The Amalgam version's arm made a cameo a few issues earlier during the End of Spider-Verse story, Morlun have ripped it off him while killing the lad

Meh. At this point, do we really need another Spider-hero?
With Peter, Miles, Spider-Gwen and Silk, plus symbiotes and the Alternate Universe stuff like Spider-Punk, I'm almost spidered out. I'd rather see great stories about all the Spider-characters we've already got.

Spider-Boy officially announced
He's basically a web-swinging sentry in concept, a character who's 'always been part of 616 and Peter's lore' somehow without us ever noticing.
Dan Slott really loves the Remember the New Guy? trope.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Ah, once again the title of the actual story Isn't what you thought it was, it wasn't alluding to the Spider-Verse being destroyed, it was about the Spiders being transported to what is believed to be the last known location of the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man panel details from C 2 E 2
Cebulski answered more questions about editorial and the marriage, he says there is no longer a mandate locking it out, but it's simply now a 'preference' by the creatives. Alludes to Wells possibly having an answer to whether or not they should be married soon.
There will be a wedding in ASM#31 which features Tombstone, so presumably this is Randy and Janice getting hitched. It will also be double-sized like ASM#25 and ASM#26, that's three issues cramming a lot into them, I'm reminded of what happened with Spencer's run towards the end.
