This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Huh. I never considered that Venom doesn't have the Spider-Sense.
But then again, the symbiote probably compensates in some way.
He is....but why a Samurai Venom?
Huh. That's some suit.
Like, the Spider-Sense feels like the one thing that wouldn't be easy to copy, but there you go.
One Strip! One Strip! That's a good plan.
Like, the Spider-Sense might be one of the most useful powers in all of Marvel.
Combine it right with other abilities and you'd be nigh invincible. Like I'd often said that any character who can steal powers would really need two abilities to be borderline impossible to stop: Quicksilver (or any faster Speedster's) speed and Peter's Spider-Sense.
One Strip! One Strip! At this point, Maddie has heel face turned, and she's been under the thrall of demons....twice.
And she was the one who brought him in on this too.
So how do we think this will end? Will the Psychics use their powers to restore Ben's memories to stop him (just like how Jean gave maddie the memories of Nathan's childhood) or are they just gonna kill him off?

One Strip! One Strip!....that's good.
It means maybe he can be saved by a psychic upload.
Because how long can Marvel run with this....right?
<Goes out and punches a few trees>
I had to do it. Just knocking on wood wouldn't be enough to avoid jinxing it.
One Strip! One Strip!Venom's a superhero these days, and has been for a long time. The Krakoan-era X-Books are full of mutants who've done horrible (and now-forgotten) things. Even Nebula's going through a Heel–Face Turn to join the Guardians of the Galaxy.
So there is hope.
Which raises the question of why they brought him back in the first place.
Could have sent him across the world to become the mysterious new Spider-Man of Poland. Or to Earth-818 to replace a Spider-Man eaten by the Inheritors. Or to the year 2141. Or space.
Anywhere interesting that could be revisited for another story someday.

I'd really like to see a sword and sorcery or planetary adventure story with a Spider-Person. So IN SPACE would be cool. And for the sword and sorcery one, I was thinking the Savage Land. But also, since Conan the Barbarian is actually a Marvel character, you could just as easily send someone "back in time" with him.
So yeah, there's a lot of options for Ben.
I also had the idea of pairing Ben with Elliot Tolliver!Superior Spider-Man. Also a case where it sucks how Marvel undid positive character development. But even then, Marvel could still introduce an alternate version of Elliot who didn't take Mephisto's deal.
Well, they'd have to do some Writing Around Trademarks to put a Spider-Person in the Hyborian Age, seeing as Marvel recently lost the Conan comic rights again (hence why he left the Savage Avengers at only five issues into the second volume, leaving that series with an Artifact Title as a result). Maybe Selene showing up could be what establishes it as being the Age of Conan, when Marvel can't use Conan himself or Red Sonja anymore?

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryHe said, apparently tuning out that Ben was already a villain when he posed as The Jackal. Man, that just sounds like a "digging himself deeper" scenario. He had to have known that people would give him the stink eye for saying that, right?
Anywhere interesting that could be revisited for another story someday.
How about making Ben a used car dealership guy? It's something.

Then again Venom mimicked Spidey's powers and doesn't seem to get the spider sense
