This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

x2 For extra context, it's a photo of a Vulture costume.
Just came across this short on Youtube:
Anyone know this issue? I'm curious as to who he's fighting.
One Strip! One Strip!![]()
According to the description on You Tube, it was his first encounter with Morlun.
I wanna say it was in Champions, the Zub run? I don't remember if she showed up in Outlawed, so it might have been there.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Today's SpiderVerse Unlimited starts a MC2 story about May. Looking forward to this.
Assuming she doesn't get eaten by a demonic wasp on page two, of course.

The Mayday story off to a great start. Stephanie Williams is our writer for it.
Mayday going by Spider-Girl once more, and teams with the Lady Hawks, Peter and MJ leave her to babysit Benjy while they go out on a date (Peter still using the cane, so being resurrected by The Other didn't heal his leg), Benjy is looking older and now talking, he's also playing with a Spider-Mobile toy. He wants to go to a kids arcade

Huh. I was just thinking about Mayday (and Annie too).
I don't know if we've discussed it before, but since May's powers manifested in her teens and Annie was seemingly born with hers, don't both of them count as mutants?
One Strip! One Strip!
IIRC, during MJ's pregnancy with May in 616 (the one during the notorious Clone Saga; which infamously ended with MJ being slipped a drug that induced labor ahead of schedule, the two being falsely told that the child was stillborn, and one of Norman Osborn's agents taking the infant and disposing of her offscreen on his orders; Gargan-Venom later confirmed that Osborn had the newborn 616-Mayday killed; the main difference in these events between 616 and the MC2 universe was that in the latter, Kaine was able to save baby Mayday from Osborn and bring her back home), a Sentinel once scanned her and determined that while the fetus wasn't baseline-human, the mutation was from an external source (read: radioactive spider-blood) rather than a natural mutation of the X-gene. So by Marvel's standards, that would make May and Annie mutates rather than mutants.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's Dictionary
Huh. That seems like a pretty arbitrary difference, but ok. Sentinels know what they are doing....most of the time.
Another thing about Mayday: We she first lost her powers, she lamented that losing the Spider-Sense meant not only no longer being able to detect danger, but also losing an ability to tell where he enemies were the least dangerous....basically, sussing out their weak points that she could then target during a fight.
MJ promptly ribbed Peter over their daughter making good use of an ability that he never even realized he had (since their powers are, unlike most other spider family members, 100% identical, at least until she learns to make other people stick to things without webbing somehow).
Now, I don't believe this ability has ever been referenced in canon, but is it possible that Peter does have it in the main universe and just doesn't know it? The Spider-Sense is pretty instinctive. Pete's known for sometimes closing his eyes and letting it guide him completely in some fights, so the idea that he might be unconsciously letting it guide him to punch a dude in the jaw because it's made of glass, or aim for the back of their knee because it's weak isn't so out of the question to me.
One Strip! One Strip! Some new information on one of March's titles, a five issue Hallow's Eve book
has had it's creative team announced: Erica Schulz with art by Michael Dowling

Stephanie Williams talks to Marvel.com
about her Spider-Girl story and why Peter, MJ and Mayday appeal to her
It appears Wells has remembered Emily Osborn, Carlie knows about Paul and the Kids and that it's a 'long story', and out of respect for Harry's memory, MJ decides to talk to Peter and accept his offer of coffee (one interesting point about accepting the gesture though is that she already HAS a cup of coffee)
Miles is corrupted by the sting, but because he belongs to both 616 and the Ultimate Universe, his conversion is taking longer to assert itself and he finds himself more in control!
Doc did try to help out Peter as a favour to Aunt May during the Beyond storyline, and came close to reconnecting with her, but he tried using the situation to serve his own ends and May washed her hands of him. Then he fought Ben.
After that, there was a weird mini-series where he teamed up with variants of himself from across the multiverse, basically a "New Fantastic Four" take, with Hulk, Ghost Rider, etc
He was in ASM 900 as part of the captive Sinister Six, but he was just fixated on defeating Spidey again. Anna Maria did show up in 900 as well, pining a little for him.
He's now appearing in Deadpool.

Spider-Verse Infinity#27
Mayday takes Benjy to the kids arcade. Benjy uses his powers while playing and causes mischief. He still has organic webshooters. Mayday's new interest Jason works at the arcade. Mayday tries to persuade Benjy not to use his powers but ends up using her webbing to prevent someone from being hit by a stray ball. Someone is monitoring all of this and believes they now have the perfect guests.
Mayday's team up with the Lady Hawks from earlier in the day is covered on the news. Spider-Girl is said to still be a 'new' crime fighter, even though judging from Benjy's age it's been a number of short years since she became active
Spider-Man#3
Nooooo, the Disney Princess Spider got turned...and she still finds an excuse to burst into song!
Oh and Peter got stabbed by the unsubtle knife and cut off from the web of life and destiny, ceasing to exist, so I guess this is Slott's way of removing his chosen one status so he can be saved by a new one
Anyone find it a little too coincidental that Marvel and DC's flagship heroes both snuff it in the same week?
